Default How long does your 510 atomizer perform perfectly

Im doing a poll to get a average of what people think of the joye 510 atomizer performing perfectly.

The reason for this is im attempting to compare the 510 atomizer to the KR-808D-1 atomizer. They are my two favorite PV and im attempting to determine which atomizer is the most cost effective to use.

With my KR-808D-1 I get about 3 days of perfect operation before it starts to go dead. With packs of 808 atomizers at $10 making the atomizer $2 each, that is approx. a cost of $0.67 per day for the atomizer only

My joye 510 performs perfectly for about 2 weeks before I notice a drop in performance. A drop in perfomance requires me to hold the button longer to get the same amount of vapor a new atomizer gives. With joye 510 atomizers costing $10 each, that puts the daily cost at $0.71.

I would like to know what other peoples performance is on the Joye 510 atomizer.

Well, its too early to vote for me as I've had my 510 for a little over 2 weeks now. However, I do weekly maintenance on it by blowing out and a hydrogen peroxide manual burn off of all the gunk on the coil. I haven't rotated atomizers yet for the sole purpose of finding out how long it will last.

The atomizer is still working as good as when I got it.

Can't really say yet either as I've only had mine for about 2 weeks. I got 2 atomizers in my kit and I've been swapping them out daily as well as blowing in them each night. I have yet to clean either one of them in any sort of soak.

For two weeks, no problems as of yet. I'd say I probably vape about 1 - 1.5 ml per day so far. Once I'm fully off analogs, it might be more.

Hope I don't jinx it by saying it but I love my 510 so far. My only gripe is how long the juice in the cart lasts before having to change out. I'd say it holds about 4-6 cigs worth before it starts losing vapor volume and flavor.

After I have an atomizer start slowing down I put it through a good cleaning cycle and it returns to normal. I've been vaping for 3 weeks an all 3 of my atomizers are still working. 2 have had to be cleaned and have returned to normal after cleaning. No failures yet, knock on wood.

Mine are mostly 6-8wks old. They have a tendency to flood more often than they did initially, requiring more blowing out, but nothing performance wise not revived with cleaning. Except of course the dead ones. They performed fine right up until they died.

If you find you're having to hold the button down longer and don't necessarily feel you're getting enough/as much vapor. It could also be your batteries. Weak on a batt, fine on a passthrough, probably the batts.

I guess I didn't really answer the question. My experience has been that atomizer will work perfectly for less than a week. I am having good results with cleaning generally but the second cleaning cycle doesn't seem to give the best result and the atomizer works but not as well as a new one. I have just done another cleaning cycle on my 3 oldest atomizers. I hope they return to full operation.

Never was happy with them. I stick to the 801's.

You might want to consider trying to account for some of the variables in order to get the best data from the poll...

For example, there's a lot of variability already with some that use the same atomizer consistently, and some that rotate through multiple atomizers (I'm in the second group).

Also, the poll doesn't really account for the cleaning that most perform at some level or another (blowing out, different types of higher-level cleaning). I blow mine out probably every 3-5 days, and put them through the mid-level cleaning advised by Joye (a few drops of hot water in clean filler material, vape without inhaling for a while, repeat until filler comes out clean). All go back to "like new" performance so far, as far as I can tell.

But if you don't clean your atomizers, or do it differently or on a different cycle than others, it seems like apples and oranges to me.

Just suggestions, I know it might not be possible to get that kind of granularity with a poll, but I thought I'd offer the feedback so that you might get as close as you can to what you're trying to find out... as for me, with the right cleaning, I expect the 510 atomizers to continue to perform as close to perfectly as I can measure up until the point where they eventually die, which hasn't happened to me in the 6 weeks or so since I bought my first 2 kits, so I'm hitting the "more than 6 weeks" button...

What cleaning method do you use? I need one to bring mine back now and have had it only two weeks.
    Update,
Still interested but just gave mine a forced Dr Pibb bath unlike the previous soakings I have used before. I actually blew it through it the hole and a big peice of gunk came out in the drain. Just for good measure I forced a few more mouthfulls both ways through it and rinsed with water using the same method. Dried for three minutes with a blow dryer and she is back, the harsh throat hit is gone but it smokes like new.

my 510 atomizers have not really quit yet. I have had them now for about a month. I only have 2 and switch back and fourth between them. I also blow them out every couple of days. I am just now going to try and clean one so if it doesnt work i will still have one to use. I am going to try the vinegar and water boiling method. I dont really have to do it because they are working just as good as new still but i thought i would try it and see if there is a difference. Ill get back to you on this.
