    Default PS Prodigy Poll

I have seen much praise, problems and fixes on the Prodigy by PS and am wondering how many people who have them had problems with them, whether user error (NOT "dummy proof") or manufacturer issues.

I've had my Prodigy for only two weeks. But, so far, the only problem I've had is that it's completely spoiled my 510 for me.

I've had mine for about a month, and share the sentiment. It spoiled the 510 for me, too. And I have not had a single problem. Everything has worked as described, and easily.

Same as others have said. It's spoiled my 510. I use both a 901 & 510 adapter. I've had absolutely no problems with mine. Even using various attys from different vendors.

3 weeks and no problems. Took awhile to get here... But that's about it! 510 adapter... Completely spoiled me as well! Will not be going back. Battery life seems to be in the 4-5 hour range with heavy use... Not too shabby!

I had an issue with my atty overheating. Did some troubleshooting with Casey in the vendor thread and traced it to the resistor in the switch mechanism touching the inside housing. Gave it a slight tweak and, voila! All fixed! Love it now that it's not burning my juice.

So although I had an issue, it was simple and easily diagnosed. Now I feel comfortable with troubleshooting my Prodigy should any other issues arise. Very satisfied despite the small setback.

Frankly, I don't like this poll. If this were in the Puresmoker subforum, it might have some value (although a more specific polling of *types* of problems would be more useful).

Here in the reviews subforum, it has the effect of being a referendum on the Prodigy. Notice that most of the narrative responses thus far have commented on how much they like the Prodigy, rather than any problems incurred.

I *love* my Prodigy (and yes, it is *my* Prodigy; you can't have it), yet I did have an initial problem (a squished delrin) that was replaced quickly (along with the atty that was blown by it) with great courtesy and personalized attention.

So is that a Yes or No? [FYI: I didn't vote.]

    Default 901 prodigy

i had to bend the end-cap spring to a G shape so it would make contac . the atty that came with my kit went dead on third day. the batt charger tabs on the bottom i had to keep bending up to make contac to chare batts. so of course the tab finally broke off and i had to do some work on that.
but even with these minor problems, i ordered a second prodigy kit for my brother, and will probably order more , as soon as i convince the rest of my analog friends and family to switch to e-cig's.
i would like to see the price go down, but such is life.

So, roughly from this poll, it looks as if almost 12% of the Prodigy owners have had trouble?

Not a very good percentage I think? Probably not much better than the Chinese product we are accustomed to getting.

I am hoping that we could get some good USA, or non Chinese product that will put an end to the mechanical and inventory/shipping issues we have been experiencing over the last couple of years.

I know that PS and others are working on this, but I'm just frustrated with the current state of the art.

I haven't had any issues with my prodigy (901). I think most of the little kinks have been worked out, and most of the issues with the units shipping now are operator error.
