I've added two other charts (Months vs Ohms and Ohms vs Watts), and added some random noise to months and watts. This just makes it less likely that two dots will overlap making one invisible. Not foolproof, but it helps a bit.
    Good Eye.

My thought is if I am going to Give the ANTZ Data Miners my Data, I am going to make it Purposely Ambiguous.

I'm puzzled - in what way do you think anyone could use this data against vaping? It's hardly a secret that people do it for years...?

    Trust me.

There are some people out there who spend their Time, and in Many Cases Our Tax Payer's Dollars, collecting Data from the ECF and Forums like it. And then run the Data thru the Spin-O-Matic 2000 to Derive the Results they Desire.

And some of these People do Not Understand concepts like the Fair and Ethical use of Statistics in the Promotion of Science.

I don't doubt that's true. But I don't think this poll contains anything especially surprising, or especially useful to propagandists (of either stripe).

    Your decision though.

I'm sure you are Right. And my Tin Foil Hat is just on Too Tight Today.

    Sorry.

BTW - Have you happen to have Read this Thread?

Prue Talbot study grossly misrepresents ECF postings on health impacts of e-cigarettes

    Or perhaps this Article?

Yeah, I have come across the estimable Dr Talbot... :-)

You could make a case for doing a preliminary paper on that data, something along the lines of "what symptoms appear to be worthy of proper statistical analysis using a representative sample". But trying to get prevalence out of that is crackpottery of the highest order.

No need to apologise though, it's a valid concern. But if people have an axe to grind and are going to mangle data to grind it, they aren't going to care where or in how easily digestible a form the data comes... I'm sure you could get membership lengths out of the forum API if you knew what you were doing, and didn't care how valid the results were.
