Copper or Chuck?
Im looking to get a long lasting reasonably priced HV Mod. Either The copper or the Chuck........can anyone give me an unbiased reason i should go one way or the other? Im interesting in Durability and Long Batt Life. THANKS! Oh by the way, shipping time is also a big factor......any input is appreciated!

Chuck, Chuck, Chuck!
Reasons include:
- I like the 'heft' of the Chuck. It will also stand up nicely on my desk, the button is easy to reach and easy to press. While I can't lock out the button, I just loosen the Atty a bit so I don't set my pocket on fire.
- 1 year warranty, and Jeff has even repaired Chucks where the owner left it on the top of a car and then drove over it - the switch was a little damaged, but the Chuck still worked, btw, and the owner wasn't gong to ask for a repair, but Jeff said he'd cover the repair. AND his technique for protecting the graphics has improved since he started selling them in August, and he's letting the 'early purchasers' return their Chucks so he can upgrade them to his 'improved' graphics protection.
- Each Chuck is unique - he'll take a design of your own or a 'partial' design and suggest additional elements to make it perfect for you. I knew I wanted certain images n my Little Chuck, I sent him many images, indicating the 'central design' element - but three different images of that same 'pic' - and gave him carte blanche to pick other images and the background color. I think so far he has 300+ designs, and only one is a duplicate - because the owner wanted a second identical one.
- The atomizer attaches at the top into a brass 'well' so if you overfill, you won't have juice running down your hand or the sides of the Chuck. I was reminded today how great that is when I got another mod and have had to swab it down a number of times.
You're looking to buy a HV mod, but in essence you're buying a battery holder. If two different mods can use the same battery, you should expect the same battery life from either.
I own a Chuck and a Little Chuck - and I don't know anything about the Copper.
One of the reasons I bought the Chuck instead of another mod to begin with was tha Jeff quotes a two week lead time from payment to shipment (USPS priority with tracking). He's mssed once because his Brass supplier was late with a shipment and then sent the wrong diameter, but that was a 2 day delay (and he's found a better, reliable supplier since then). When I first started reading about mods, none of them were 'in stock' or had ANY quote on the lead time. So that's another reason I chose the Chuck.

The "COPPER" for sure!
Ordered "the copper" Wednesday evening, shipped Thursday, received it Saturday morning from Rick at AtmosUSA. He makes them himself and believe me it is one solid piece of equipment. It seems like it would certainly be indestructible. It vapes at 3.7 and 6V. I have only used the 3.7 so far as the other batts are charging. I actually can't even imagine this at 6, because the 3.7 is simply amazing! It is so unique, no buttons, I just lightly press down with my lips on the tip and the throat hit and vapor is awesome! It comes with a RN4081 atty and I also bought the 510 and 801 adapters. This is only my first day with it and I'm already lovin' it. I had originally ordered the rounded rough finish copper but Rick was out of that style so he offered me a more expensive style for the same price, nice, huh?! Let me tell you about this other style...it is not only rounded but it's the one and only cherry red colored one (red, my favorite color). Thanks Rick....exceptional customer service!! I did read reviews on the chuck as well as the copper before I bought and they both seemed to be pretty nice but the solid build and the price of the copper won me over hands down. I truly cannot imagine any other mod being any better than "the copper"...it's just what I was hoping for and perfect for me.
Great product...go see Rick, he's a good guy!

I don't think I'd like having to press the PV up against my mouth to 'turn it on' - pressing something with my finger(s) works better for me. Is it possible to get the copper with a 'button'?

They are both good mods, and will work well for you. Choose the one that you like better.
Obviously I chose the Chuck for me, but I wouldn't mind owning a Copper, as well.

I'm the dummy that left the Chuck on the car, It let go at 55 mph and down the highway it went.
I sent it to Jeff to have him fix the switch (Still worked though) And got a brand new one with my design on it in return even though it was not a warranty issue. Because mine had a few road rashes,
Best Customer service I have ever had and would not hesitate to tell any one to get a Chuck.
By the way the MASS clouds of vapor is a nice bonus

Things to consider about mods....the switch life and how easily they can be replaced.....the switch of the Chuck will be very hard to replace yourself when it fails. Another thing to consider about mods is the weight....the Copper is made from brass plumbing supplies so it is going to be very heavy even though it is small.

I have and love both. They are both an outstanding value. I recently gave some mods away to friends, but I kept both of these. Here are what they have in common:
*extremely, as in ww3 nuclear war level durability.
*Brass construction (it's called the copper but it's actually brass, so is the excellent Chuck)
*Dual Voltage options
*multiple atomizer choices
*Made in the USA
*Could kill a ninja if thrown at one, be retrieved and used after wiping off ninja juice.
How they differ:
*Chuck is much bigger, but has (one huge battery) as an option for 18650 3.7v vaping, which a LOT of people adore. The Chuck also does six volts with two protected rcr123a's
*Chuck comes in a "mini" version that runs at 3.7v only.
*The Copper only comes in one size, but you have the option of the 14500 or six volts with two unprotected CR2's. It is however an AMAZINGLY small size even compared to much more expensive six volt mods.
*The chuck uses a comfortable thumb switch position.
*The Copper uses an ingenius "push with your mouth" switch built into the top. You have to see the video to appreciate it. The effort required is minimal. Won't go off in your pocket.
*The Chuck is offered in just about ANY color you can imagine, with any custom graphic you can possibly imagine. Got a favorite animal,tv show, movie, sports team, president, porn star? Jeff can make a custom chuck out of it for you. No question. I LOVE my pirate chuck.
*The Copper comes in three unique shapes and two finish styles. Rounded, original hexagon, and a fancy look called "R2" that's kinda litesaberish. It is offered in a smooth or grippy texture.
And that's about it. The areas of difference and concern are:
1) importance of size
2) importance of switch preference
3) importance of the high voltage option
4) How important the custom color and graphics option is to you
5) How important the "huge 3.7v battery" option is.
6) And if you do want to try high volts, how important having protected batteries is to you.
I personally vape all day on unprotected CR2's at six volts, but you can make a compelling argument for or against this activity and I can't really say either perspective is wrong at this point.
Hope this helps.

what are the dimentions of the copper?

I don't own either, but I too am interested in both. I'm marking this thread so I don't loose it.
