I'm into my third week with my e-cigs. haven't smoked an analog since I charged the first battery. I got a pass through at the start of the third week and find the nicotine buzz more than sufficient from the pass through. i still think of trying an analog but can stem the urge by taking a few draws on the pass through. Need to keep the first one of the day at about 18 mg but can get by on 11 MG during the day. I actually enjoy the e-cig way more as I can change flavor and strength in response to any urges. I don't just think I will stay off analogs, I know because this is way better just by comparing the way I feel. A side benefit of all this is the new hobby, mixing e-juice formulas, that helps to keep my mind off analogs as well.

I was realy excited to start these e-cigs and got off to a really good start and didn't smoke much for a month...and since I have started the e-cigs have not even gone through 2 packs. I was also real happy to tell everyone how wonderfull these things are.

All that stopped after doing too many hours of research finding that NICOTINE IS NOT THE ONLY THING IN TOBACCO MANY OF US NEED.

I also wonder how many people are not telling the truth, this is the web aftre all right?

How many are just caught up in the euophoria and excitment of the idea of these little e-cig devices that they just don't want to admit or don't want to think that these will not work for them?

I just want to see a long standing result of the efectiveness of these e-cigs.
You're not alone, but that doesn't mean everybody else here isn't tellilng you the truth.

But yeah, there many people that need more than just electronic cigarettes.
There are threads and polls here on this forum about that very topic.

As for me, I stopped smoking over seven months ago, and I know for a fact I will never go back.

The thing is, I will go ahead and smoke a cigarette now and then.
I guess maybe once every month or two.

I do it just for fun, and then I laugh at them and spit in their little cigarette faces.
Cigarettes no longer hold ANY power over me whatsoever.

I like to remind myself how absolutely horrible they taste.

This may seem like a small step to you but I have smoked analogs for 40 years ( 1 - 11/2 packs a day ) and to e it is a huge step after trying everything there is to quit analogs. I'm just new on the band wagon and appreciate your skepticism but quiting any habit has to have a start and I hope that e-cigs are my end.

I slowly quit before vaping. I was sick of it and either way would turn around and never go back. But. I love it :S Vaping hit my weak spot! Haha.

I also think that poll should have asked people who have been vaping for a while. That "wall" where people who had quit completely went back to some form of tobacco does not stand at day three or so. It seems to be in the area of 4-6 weeks for many.

Before that, happy vaping only. Hit the wall, you need tobacco. Bad thing, but I don't think it's rare. Good thing, though, there is smokeless tobacco.

Vote in the polls, vapers, we need numbers!

AirNerd - just look around on this forum. There are so many veterans that have never gone back to an analog. I could never stop smoking - no matter what I tried, that is until PV's - they are little miracles.
 Smokefree since January 5, 2009!

I cut down, I still smoke a few analogs a day and have completely fallen off the wagon a couple times and bought a pack, which was smoked until gone. I wish I could stop smoking but there is something about trash sticks that keeps drawing me back. I've been vaping since October, and seem to be struggling, but still in a much better place than before I started. The inconvenience of vaping in comparison to smoking, and the fact that my wife continues to smoke seem to be the main problems, while the money I'm saving is the main motivator.
