That I couldn't tell you. I do know that I tried cooking some non-nicotine chewing tobacco. Didn't like the taste of that one.

probably ... been searching long and hard. i was about to buy some quest cigarettes, destroy them, then cook them up ... i still may do this ... we'll see.

in the meantime, this is what I found on one of the brand Onico ...

Onico looks like snus, smells and tastes like snus and gives the same feeling under the lip. But it’s not a snus. The portions contain no tobacco or nicotine.

Onico is for snuffers that want to cut down on their nicotine consumption, says Mikael Arnebert Director Information & Public Affairs North Europe Division. With Onico the snus users can replace one or several of their ordinary portions with a tobacco and nicotine free alternative.
Onico, a tobacco and nicotine free alternative to snus. Onico consists of vegetable fiber portions, flavored with aromas that imitates tobacco and peppermint taste.

Three variants has been introduced, Onico White Large, Onico Pepparmint White Large and then Onico White Mini.

The product name Onico stands for "Zero Nicotine".

I think the result will be disappointing. Cans of Onico, etc., are not popular with snusers.

Using tobacco snus would probably be as bad as when I used nasal snuff (stunk up the house something awful).

The non-tobacco snus PROBABLY have all kinds of sweeteners and additives that you don't want. That's why I use just burly pipe tobacco. It's (Carter Hall) cheap. Its smells good cooking. And it tastes good smoking. I have yet, however, to get a powerful tobacco taste from it when I mix it with other fluids. I want a hint of tobacco, but Bickford flavor and sweet glycerine overwhelm the juice. I'm still working on it.

Jamie- it will dilute hte Glycerin, but not by much- there will still be more than thestandard amount in the mix- comercial eliquid in Cartridges contain appr. 4-7% Glycerin, adding more will jump thta up quite a bit, so diluting it some with flaoring will still result in more Glycerin than standard mixtures
