You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. Why throw out an atty everytime? Its wasteful. I have run my 901 attys for weeks of heavy vaping and assaulted one with a DC wall adapter and it still works like new. As far as vapor goes I bought a cheap 901 from China that produced more vapor than another 901 from a certain popular company. I guess what Im trying to say is your mileage may vary when it comes to these things, you cant come up with one top e-cig when so many people want so many different things from them (i.e throat hit, vapor production).

2 dollar e-cig
i just get a glass tube and some chore-boy like the crack-heads use, drip some juice in there and fire it up with my butane lighter.

Sorry, but for us to move towards a "perfect" e-cig, there'd have to be:
1) Radically new technology in atomizers (i.e. get rid of the whole coil technology and make it self cleaning and more efficient in nic delivery)
2) New battery technology that provides perfect, steady, and long lasting power
3) Carts that deliver / hold the liquid well and don't need to be topped off constantly (or a automatic juice delivery system).
4) QA that's worth a #$&%!!!
5) Oh, and that little problem of only delivering 1/10th of the nic that a cig does per drag.
There's no such thing and I don't see one that delivers even two of those things coming at least for another 5 generations of e-cigs (3-5 years). My hopes lie in the Modders forum and the crafty guys and gals that come up with great ideas there.
I enjoy what I have (a 510) but we are in the stone ages as far as e-cig tech goes.
"The Perfect Product" throws back to the pre-60s era where manufacturers of products looked to create the one perfect product but as the revolutions of the 60s and 70s took place, they realized that they could be more successful by making multiple products for multiple tastes.
For your intellectual pleasure... a perfect example using Prego sauce:

My first and only purchase was the NJoy Npro. I have read so many bad things about it and can't understand why. This thing is a workhorse. The only problem is the carts are small. I ordered blanks from TW and although they seem to be the same size, they hold about 7 drops as compared with the Npro cart, about 4. I assume it's the core material??? If I go into a restaurant, I am immediately approached by a waiter or manager and told I can't smoke there due to the amount of smoke I am blowing out. As far as throat hit goes, that seems to be based entirely on the juice. I think it is a combo of flavor and mg of nicotine.

Part of throat hit is due to juice but that's not all of it. The amount of voltage going to the atomizer is one factor, quality and amount of buildup on the atomizer coil is another.

I think the key to a perfect e-cig, is higher quality parts. I feel like I'm getting a $60 kit, and its essentially disposable. If you think about it, roughly 1.5+ months from now; none of the parts are original. I feel like I should have never bought a "kit", but instead buy a charger and then buy the parts as needed.

Sometimes, that's exactly what I do. It just depends how it works out price-wise. Sometimes the kit is cheaper than the parts, sometimes the other way around.

more on "perfect ecig"
I definitely agree that I'd like an ecig that delivers a LOT more than 1/10th of the nicotine that analogs do. I'd also like the juice/vapor to be absorbed in the lungs so that it gets to the brain quickly, like analogs. I know this is asking for too much. I don't care what the ecig looks like - I just want it to deliver like an analog - but it doesn't.

I am new to the forum and I don't understand a lot of what's going on. Can someone tell me what is the best e-cigg? What I am looking for mainly are these things:
convenience (not too many gadgets to deal with)
cheap (or cheaper than regular ciggs where I don't have to order a lot of stuff a lot of times)
long lasting battery (or at least that I can use it even w/o a battery)
good customer service and warranty
tastes like a regular cigg (Marlboro reds is what I smoke)
I see that N-Joy is up there as one of the best regarding these features. Am I right or does someone have a different opinion?
Last and not least, what are "juices"? Are these flavors that people add? If they are, then I don't really care for that because I just want a cigg that tastes like a cigg.
Any help is awesome!! I don't want to overspend since I am on a tight budget but I want to QUIT regular cigarettes ASAP.
One more question, when the battery runs out, does this mean it just doesn't give out vapors and/or light up but you can still use it and puff on it?
THANKS SOOO MUCH! I have been trying to post on here and it's not letting me - hopefully now it will work!
