Thanks Tone - that's been my suspicion all along. Now if I could only locate a true RN4072, I'd be all set.

Vaprlife must be getting them from somewhere...

The outside appearance looks like the Janty Kissbox Titanium color atty, but your bridge sounds different.

Interesting. I'd love to find an image of the Janty Kissbox bridge to check out, just for kicks.

Of course, all of this would be really easy to resolve if I could just get an answer from Vaprlife. So far my efforts have been unsuccessful, which is a bit confusing.

    Tone...

From what I've read, the RN4072 attys are out of production. This is the reason I suspect that the Vaprlife attys may be something else, even if the description is so similar.

What an exhausting puzzle this has become.

I just heard back from Vaprlife, and all they could give me is this: The atomizers I love had been coming from a China supplier here: http://www.bauway.com/index.php

They didn't give me any specifications or 'model number', but they did tell me that they were no longer going to sell their kits with them since users have been complaining about them. So, apparently there is an issue with these atomizers I love.

    What agonizing irony.

Anyway, I've emailed this supplier in China and hopefully I'll at least figure out what these are. My brain hurts. =]

Here's the inside of a Janty Kissbox atomizer. A little blurry but this was the best shot I could get.

Thanks Tone - that's a very useful list and I appreciate you taking the time to post it.

I just emailed First Union Technology to get the scoop on the RN4072, but who knows what that will yield.

    RenaissancePuffer...

That certainly looks quite similar to this atty here - almost identical inside. Perhaps I should just bite the bullet and order a few of them at $17 each.

I'm really alright with spending $17 on them if the 6 month warranty holds up. It's actually a better deal than spending $8 on an atty that will last me 1-2 weeks. I'd probably buy 2 of them, that way if one craps out I can have the other to use while I wait for the warranty exchange to complete. In theory, this almost seems like a sound plan.

My only concern is whether they'll be around in the mid to long term to honor the warranty. I kind of hate relying on a single vendor for something so specific and essential. =]

Thanks for taking the time to post the image, that was helpful.
