Read First–Modders Advise and Tutorials–Hazards, Warnings, and Rules for Posting
Some members post advise and tutorials on making variations of E-Cigs otherwise known as Modding.. Please be advised that these Members do so at their own risk as well as anyone that follows any advice given by Member posts. If not done properly, Modding can be dangerous and cause injury or death should these devices short circuit and explode. Most e-cigs employ the use of lithium Ion batteries. Commercial E-cigs, for the most part use protected circuit batteries to prevent the hazards of shorting out and exploding.
This Forum is in no way advocating the use of Member’s posting’s regarding their Modding or instructions on how to build a Mod. Anyone that chooses to follow any information or instructions contained in Member post’s regarding Modding, does so at their own risk. The Forum reserves the right to remove any posts that it deems to be dangerous.
Rules for Posting Tutorials:
- All Tutorials must advocate safety and will employ the use of protected circuit batteries, proper rated amp switches, lead free solider, proper gauge wiring, non-excessive amperage.
- This Forum reserves the right to remove any posts that do not adhere to these rules.
Please be aware:
If you decide to try any Modding, either seen here or devised by yourself, consider carefully if you have the technical understanding of the science and the risks involved. You are strongly advised to take all precautionary measures and be prepared for possible battery shortages, wiring issues, etc.

Dear Unregistered,
The AAPHP has submitted two citizens petitions to the FDA. The first is for e-cigs to be reclassified as tobacco products, and the second is for the FDA to correct it's misleading press statements from last year.
It's really important that US vapers add their comments to these documents. This can be done online very quickly. For suggested talking points and discussion about these petitions please see this post
