Default What I would like to see

1) more smoke!
2) Keep the LED. The glowing tip of a cigarette is for many an important part of the experience, and one of the things that makes smoking look "cool". In fact, make it glow all the time, and glow more when you take a drag. I would love that.
3) more styles, sizes, colors
4) better taste

I am stunned at how well these things produce a smoking experience without actual smoke. I think they are great as is, but I know they will get even better.

1. Agree - would love more smoke
2. Love the concept; however, the battery life needs major improvement before LED can stay lit all of the time
3. I'm sure more styles, sizes & colors will be offered as soon as e-smoking catches on
4. I believe the taste is getting better even now.

You may be right about the battery and LED, but to my knowledge LED's are extremely energy efficient. I would surmise that e-cigs today spend a tiny fraction of their energy on the LED, maybe less than 1%. So i would see its battery consumption as a non-issue myself. I could be wrong though.

As I stated in my introduction post, I would love to have a small speaker in the unit, perhaps behind the LED, to make the sizzling and crackling sounds that a real cigarettes makes when you take a drag off of it.

The part on the continous ON of the Led is good. Let's refine it.
For example, if one takes a puff, the led will be lit for 5 mins before going to OFF.
This will be more like a real cig..

Also, it will be great if there are multiple led rings on the battery body, so as one takes a puff, the lighted ring will advance one level. Till it reaches the battery's end(near the atomizer), to tell the user, "Hey, you smoked 1 stick already."

daedalusx360 - Excellent idea, I'd love to have a speaker that makes that burning sound when you take a drag.

lengendec - This is a great idea, though I am partial to the cigarette staying "long", if they sold one like you described I would buy it. Additional thought, how about when you are finished, even if you finish early, you can "stub it out" by tapping the end of it on a table, one or two taps and the LED goes out.

Was talking to NJoy today and suggested a way to have the cigarette last about 7 minutes and then turn off for about 15 minutes to signal the user they have just smoked 1 cigarette. Without any details, I was told they are working on just that. Their only concern was for the chain smoker. Maybe they could have an override switch or perhaps a separate model without the timer.

After having used these things for a few weeks now, I agree with Klaue's post below. I don't think it's such a good idea after all (6/29/08).

That would be a very bad idea IMHO
sometimes I like to smoke a second cig right after my first - without having to wait 15 mins. A little timer that beeps after 5 minutes would be nice, but please no artiffical wait..
