Wow. This thing rocks! I'd gone back to smoking analogues mainly, bc my 901 and M401 weren't doing it for me nic-wise. Got the Prodigy 2 days ago, and I'm back to having the odd analogue, rather than a pack a day.

I actually feel like I'm smoking with this. The juice has taste (amazing taste - juices I thought were gross now taste great) and the vapour is warm with great throat hit. I was missing that previously. This is exactly what e-cigs were missing. I can see myself quitting analogues entirely now.

With my 901, I was constantly hitting it. With the Prodigy, I hit it a few times than put it down for a bit. I don't feel like I need to be suckling on it all the time. This is a big deal to me - I'm going on a trip in August and will be with all non-smokers, and I was a little worried about having my 901 constantly hanging from my mouth.

I really can't get over how good juice tastes with this thing. I make my own, primarily, and ones that tasted just ok in the 901 now taste freakin' delicious. Raspberry cheesecake, omg. Keoke coffee and cream...wowza. Cinnamon roll...swoon. Prodigy is going to turn me into an e-juice sommalier

It's a great design, comfortable to hold and the button placement is great. I can hit the button from the top, the sides, the bottom...ahhh, the positions are endless

Congrats on such a great product guys! And THANK YOU.

    Default The Prodigy Hits Wisconsin

I've had this hot little beauty in my hands for 24 hrs, now, and I'm just going to toss up my initial impressions.... please keep in mind that this is still a NEW toy, and it's still got all the initial novelty and excitement that come with a such.... in other words, the shine isn't off the brand new penny yet... but I do believe that the first impressions are important, too.

I will offer up another review once I've driven it around the block, down the freeway, and kicked the tires a few times.

First, wholehearted thanks go out to Steve and the entire PS team - you guys do an awesome job....keep it up.

Everything arrived securely padded and shipped fast. Had the confirmation EM on Wed - the box was in my mailbox on Friday....

The batteries were partially charged on arrival - thanks for that wonderful gift - I didn't have to wait for the charger light to turn green before I could play with my new toy....ah, the joys of gratification after a long pre-order wait.

So - put on the 801 adapter, screwed the atty with 4mg fluid in, and that first, magical draw.......

    MAN, WAS I BLOWN AWAY!

This thing is fantastic - it smokes like a forest fire.....we're talking thick, heavy vape - full of flavor - a hit to the throat and a burning in the lungs! And on 4mg - FOUR!!! And the push, wait a sec, draw technique I've been using on the KB and the Stick just doesn't have to happen here... the unit goes to full power and full vape FAST FAST FAST!

The switch placement is perfect, and it won't engage with a casual press or the weight of the unit pressing down on it - a huge plus.

The unit is big - longer than I'd imagined, but more than livable.

Given that it's a 5v unit - the attys do run hot. I can't use this as a pacifier, as the Prod simply gets too hot - I can manage around 5-6 good, solid (extremely LONG -10 seconds average) draws before the atty simply gets too hot to use.

Also expected, it's a juice hog, and the 801 carts drain fast. But, again, vaping at 5v - that was a tradeoff I was willing to make.

Overall - I give it an enthusiastic thumbs up. Nice product, PureSmoker!

Its absolutely the best PV out there, that's all there is to it. I am going to use it as my primary, giving the rest of my crap away, aside from an emergency supply in case it goes dits up.

Default Won't be sending money to China anymore!

Makes me proud to be an American!

The Prodigy V1 is exactly what I've been searching for. I feel like I'm actually smoking, not sucking on a plugged up straw. It's consistent -- just put fresh batteries in it in the morning, blow out the atomizer if it gets juice-logged, and add more juice if it starts to taste burnt. And I can get batteries cheap at local stores. Yay!!!

At first, I had problems getting the battery cap to thread all the way in. Then, I noticed the little spring wasn't totally snapped into its indentation in the cap. Once it's in there properly, the battery cap screws on no problem.

Because of its power, this thing sure burns the juice. If Steve at PureSmoker wants to invent something new, I think he should come up with some kind of self-feeding atomizer, or at least something that will hold a couple mg's without flooding the atomizer. If he can come up with that, coupled with the Prodigy, it will be totally and awesomely perfect.

I've used it for 3 days now. Same 801 atomizer- no problems. Batteries last me all day. My old pen style and cigars are now in the pocket of my purse -- for when I go out of the house. To me, the unit looks a little too much like paraphanalia to be flinging around in public -- just asking for trouble. But I like the way it looks, the way it feels, the amount of vapor and the throat hit. Almost like analogs 'cept it tastes so good with my Riskee Yuice.

I've been off the cigs for about 4 months. My lungpower is awesome now. No more wheezing and coughing, stinking and burning things up. Thanks to the Chinese for inventing the e-cigs, and for Steve and his good ol' USA ingenuity for perfecting their great idea. Well... invent the self-feeding atomizer and it will be perfect. If you make it, I will buy it, preorder or not, it would be mine.

    Thanks, Steve!!!

Just got mine today. so far all I can say is wow! my 11 mg juice is giving me a head buzz like the first time I lite a ciggarette and tried smoking when I was 14 and that was a camel non filter. Im gonna have to cut all this stuff ...hehe awsome more for me the flavor is wow even on my cheaper juices....did the straw trick on the cart before I even pushed the button for the first time works great. Im using my dse801 4 hole thats been going for about 2 weeks now and havent had one problem with it. I put my finger on it after taking a hit and it doesnt even seem to be getting as hot as when I would hot box the crap out of my standard 801 batts but then I dont have to do that anymore. I didnt like how I couldnt tighten the atty by the ring because of the recess so I took a piece of brass tubing beat a large tapered punch up one end of it so it loosely fit down over the 801 atty but still fits inside the recess on the adapter then lightly dipped it in some plastic coating to give it some grip. Grabs the ring around the base of the atty real good so I wont have to worry about this twisting nonsense.

Steve just wanted to say thanks and this thing deserves five gold stars and a atta boy for a job well done

So I just got the Prodigy with 901 and 510 adapters. I put the batteries in the charger and I am so miserable -- I can't tell if the color is red or green. Why the hell can't they do a blinking light to indicate charging? So what do I do now?

How long do I need to charge these things?

I've had the batteries in the charger for two hours. Could it be enough? I don't want to spoil the first experience by using weak batteries!

    This is t r ag i c !

I just tried their carnival apple pre mixed juice and it is amazing. I like it even more than the TW apple which is huge.

Okay, I did it. My orgasmic prodigy virginity is now gone forever.

    My first impressions:

Really like the fact that the Prodigy is solid enough to stand vertically on my desk.

No problems putting in the batteries -- but I did read a lot on these forums about how etc so I had some advantage there.

The 901 adapter was already attached, and since 901 atty was included in the package that was the first one I tried. Discovered there was no wool in the cartridge, so swapped it with one of the spare ones I had on hand.

Since many people talked about how hard-hitting the Prodigy can be, I didn't use my regular 24 mg nic liquid but went with 11 mg that I have not used for few months. Thinking: "just in case."

Love how the button to start the Prodigy feels like and that you need to actually push it instead of just touching it. Perfect.

Vapor from 901 using 11 mg was good, but vapor is not that important to me. It is the throat hit I am after much more. With 11 mg, the 901 didn't give me throat hit I could feel. It probably had it, but I am so used to vaping 510 and 24 mg liquid that anything less would be probably difficult to notice.

But I did notice the vapor texture! This is unlike anything else I vaped. While the standard PV can give me enough vapor, some can even give huge quantity of it, the vapor that Prodigy produces has weight and volume. To me, standard PV's vapor was more like a fog or something that could come from a humidifier. The first thought I had when I blew out vapor from Prodigy was -- milk. It was silky smooth and tangible. Great stuff.

Next, I used 24 mg nic. Better throat hit this time, but nothing that I couldn't get from my manual 510 PV. The silky vapor was still there however. And that I was never able to get from 510 PV. For that alone I can imagine using 901 when I feel like slowing down and vaping something mellow. So, no real surprise with the 901. I like it, but it will not be my first choice for vaping. But if I never tried 510 I'd be all over it.

Quick change to 510 adapter and inserting my used 510 atty and cart with the straw modification. This time I didn't even bother with 11 mg nic, just used my standard 24 mg. Thinking all these old-timers describing huge throat hits from 801/901 just forgot what a throat hit from analog really feels like.

I take a nice vape hoping that I'll at least feel something close to what 510 gives out.

After I exhaled and sticked my eyeballs back into their sockets I realized that my juice supply just doubled. I can easily cut my 24 mg liquid to 12 mg.

I was expecting the Prodigy to guzzle the juice fast, but surprisingly it didnt. Or maybe it just felt like forever when vaping my 24 mg nic liquid. But when I finally needed to refil I used my 11 mg liquid. Still getting nice throat hit. So I am thinking that I will be able to switch to 12 - 18 mg nic without a problem. I don't think the throat hit was harsh with 24 mg. It was strong, but the warmth of the vapor made it smooth. Even with the throat hit of 510, the silky vape still tastes like milk. It is extremely nice and does feel like smoking a smooth fine cigarette.

Another surprise: the atty didn't get as hot as with the normal manual battery! Maybe the reason is that I am taking much shorter drags with Prodigy. On the other hand, I am not letting it cool down, so am not sure.

There is one other thing that makes a huge difference. With all the other PVs I have I never know what will the next vape taste/feel like. No matter how consistently I vape, sometimes I get a good vape, sometimes weak. Sometimes there is a throat hit, sometimes not. Manual 510 has the most consistent performance, but I would still take a primer puff even with that just to make sure the thing is working. (Especially with that terrible passthrough that is using a battery!) But with Prodigy, my first hour was completely predictable vape after vape. When I press the button, I know exactly what I'll get. Yes, I am calling Prodigy boring. And it is a good thing! Very good thing!

    Congratulations Puresmoker!
