I don't see any in the 510 attys either. Ohh well. maybe my sight is terrible, or maybe they don't have gaskets to begin with.

510 atty's are slightly different .... because they are male threaded, the gasket is a cloudy white color that circles the center pin. Has the same function

No issues with 510 atty's, etc... Can't twist those bad boys on too tight

    Enjoy!
    I received a shipping notice for my 2 adapers, 901 & 510) on 7/15/2009 at 7:59 PM (EST)
Does that mean that the PT adapter shipped to me were pressed "incorrectly"? Were the ones shipped to me made the "correct" way?

After waiting this long for the adapters I would hate to deal with either of the 901 or the 510 adapter shorting out.

As it is, I lost 2 brand new new Atomizers due to my new 801 PT's button sticking frequently, me not immediately noticing it every time(was hard to tell sometimes) and me not being fast enough in removing the atomizers quickly enough before they burned out.

After an e-mail to PS I got advice on how to fix the problem with the button sticking (from the day I received the PT) and the advise worked so far, but from what I understand the button is now also being secured/attached differently than on my PT (I can't find the post for this, sorry).

Don't get me wrong, I love my P/T (and have my eye on the new Protoge already), but I certainly did not enjoy losing 2 new atomizers because the button stuck frequently and unpredictably from one moment to the next.

I would hate to also have issues with the adapters and dealing with returning it (them) if I end up with a short.

With Lady Luck staying far, far away from me all my life, I will probably have problems, LOL.

    Not complaining here, just worried.

Has anyone tried a 306 atty on the 510 adapter?

mpetva -- Every adapter shipped from here on out will NOT have issues. The issues stemmed from the very first day of pressing, and it wasn't really even that many. You should be fine. As far as your button on the PT sticking, this could be caused by over tightening of the actual adapter on to the PT

    Hope that helps !!!

Thanks! Breathing a sigh of relief.

After receiving the e-mail response on how to handle the sticking problem and following your advise, the PT has been working fine :-) Knock on wood!

Looking forward to ordering the Protege!

901 PT - suicide in first minute

Received from Simon @ e-cigs.co.uk yesterday.

I screwed in a working atomiser, plugged PT into laptop's USB port, and took a vape - heaven. Then I noticed that vapour was still coming out of the atomiser despite the button not being pressed and me not puffing I was examining it when my laptop died (I won't go into the events of the next couple of hours after I was revived from my heart attack; suffice to say my laptop has recovered.)

It turns out that if the adapter is screwed on "finger-tight", it can prevent the button from releasing itself. The adapter must be screwed on not quite fully. Too late for my PT, which is dead.

(There were a lot of "deaths" in this household yesterday )

I have reported to Simon and he is dealing with it in his usual no-fuss manner.

I was guided to this thread by another, we agreed you would wish to be alerted to the potential problem.

From the one true puff I got out of the PT, I was very impressed and I'm very looking forward to the replacement.

I got sidelined so I didn't see this before submitting my post.

The problem is not caused by OVER-tightening the adapter, it is caused by tightening it to what one would assume is the correct tension. One needs to screw the adapter on to normal tension and then release it slightly.

    Hey Scylla ...

No ... You should be able to tighten it down without the button sticking. Sounds like your may be 1 of 2 issues. Button is too large or housing is too large. There is a *step* within the PT you don't see that holds the plastic housing from sliding backwards. If you simply just tightened it (without over tightening it) and the button stuck, we need to get it replaced (which I'm assuming you already spoke with Simon about)
