Default Prodigy V3.1 and 4.8V NiMH battery ---- WOW!!!!!!

Just received the Prodigy from the classies and popped a 4.8V in there and this is just as good as my buzz pro and other VVs in terms of my sweet spot, plus it hits HARD! Very portable, also have the icon and love it but the Prodigy set up this way is perfect for me. Thank you Puresmoker!

Anyone know what kind of life I'll get out of these batts running SR cartos and tanks? My understanding is that NiMH are safer than IMRs, is that true? Thanks!

As I have understood it, yes, safer, at the cost of run time and very slow charging and no great chargers. YMMV, but these batteries don't seem to be very well recieved. If you can make time, give us a full review after a week or two. I'd love to hear more!

I'll give a review for sure, now I have a reason to vape on my prodigy exclusively for awhile......cool.

Still loving these batteries, I do have the two bay charger that indicates when charging is up. I'd say I'm getting 5-6 hours out of them but I haven't written anything down yet so not sure. I'm getting a multimeter in the mail soon and then I'll be able to post more info. Seems as though a lot of others use these batts. I'm guessing they are putting out about 4.6V or so under the load of a single coil standard resistance carto with a tank, pretty much my sweet spot. Put one in my SB and like it better than the prodigy.

I look forward to hearing more. Is your prodigy cleaned? I know that just a small amount of grime build-up can lower performance on mechanical devices like the prodigy/icon/legacy.

Yup, all the prodigy contacts are clean, but I generally think my SB hits harder than any (non VV) 18650 I have. It could be all in my head.

So how do you rank your overall experience with the NiMH battery? Battery life as compared to 3.7 Li-Ion? Battery life as compared to LiFePO4? How does the NiMH on SR atomizer compare to Li-Ion on LR atmoizers? What is the charge time comparison?

I'm testing one tonight! Haven't used LiFePO4s yet. It's been 45 minutes and so far the batt has dropped from 5.6 off the charger to 5.2 on a highish SR (measured 3.6), I definitely prefer the hit to 3.7 with LR and AW IMR - more vapor and flavor. I don't expect the batt life to compare well, and we'll see how fast voltage continues to drop off. Even at a steady 4.8 I'd probably have to switch to a lower range ohm carto to keep the watts the same, that's a pain. I'll report back......

OK, I tested them and I was very wrong about battery life! Now I wish I could edit the title of this post. Here are my reults:

    Great chart Dur ...

I've those batteries as well. I tested them on my Prodigy V3 many moon's ago ... Battery life was indeed, not too swell. Therefore, we never offered them!
