I carry mine in my front jeans pocket as well...never had a problem with it firing accidentally. However, shhhh don't tell Steve and Casey, I did have an adapter loosen in the middle and I thought later that I might have put too much pressure on the thing while carrying it (atty on) and that is what caused the adapter to fail. PS replaced it of course!

Seriously Steve, do ya think that could have happened? I mean I don't wear baggy jeans, but they aren't skin tight either. I honestly didn't think of that possibility until after I had sent it in for replacement. I will pay you for it, if you think that I was responsible for the adapter breaking

Carry mine in my pants pocket all the time with no problems. Except the one time I forgot it was in my back pocket and sat on it. My a$$ got a little warm, but that was all.

I'm not sure how it is possible for you,or anyone else for that matter, to break anything on this "Monster" The Protege is very well built...I mean I just can't see anyone breaking the Protege.......Unless it was done on purpose....
To make a long story short,I don't think you had anything to do with the Protege braking at all...It was probably a mishap or something like that...

By the way, i love your Avatar....

The Protege is well built. I had mine in the case logic case and was trying to get in the door of my house with many things in my hands. The case slipped out of my hands and fell to the concrete. The protege came out of it with no damage but the cart was shattered in several pieces. I never carry it with a atty & cart on from then on.

"Cigar Save it" Amazon. Telescopes to 6.5", 54 ring size which would fit the Protege. Pop up top, pocket clip. Main body is metal, telescope plastic, removeable bottom cap.
