Transport Options
So I got my protege today and am loving it. I was trying to see if there was a convenient way for me to carry it around like I used to with my cigs (or actually still do, this is my second attempt at quiting with e-cigs) but I'm worried the button is gonna get pushed down in my pocket. So my question is, if I unscrew the atomizer and store both the atomizer and base together in a case is the possibility of accidentally pushing the button now pointless? What I mean is if I don't have the atomizer screwed on the base then does that stop the connection from being made when the button is pushed or is it just best to always remove the battery if I'm throwing it in my pocket?
Do you guys carry this thing around with you throughout the day and if so how do you transport it? Any good cases? Or is the protege strictly an at home/desk/car vape for you? If so, what do you use for going out?

I wear my pants Ron the baggy side but I have carried it around for a week without once turning on. My 510 used to burn my leg atleast once a day.

I would assume that the button is stiff enough similar to a manual to not have to worry about it being pushed. I carried my 901 manual in my pocket and not once did I set it off except for the time i fell asleep with it in my pocket and woke up with a nice burn on my leg lol

I guess you could just take the battery out. It is no big deal to put it in or take it out.

I carry my Protege in my shirt pocket when I'm moving around during the day. Between locations when traveling I put all my stuff in the Case Logic padded case. When I am at my desk or at home the Prodigy gets my full attention.

unless you have something shorting over the atty connection on the Proto itself, the button push should amount to a "do nothing" situation.
however, anything metal in your pocket that could rest over/in the atty connector could cause some greif.
what about finding a flashlight or knife case - the kind you clip on your belt?

I carry both of my PS devices in either my shirt or pants pocket. Never had a single problem.
When I'm oot and aboot I also use the case logic padded case for everything (batts, liquid, attys, polished Prodigy) but still carry the unit in one of my pockets.
