    Default Attys don't fit...

I ordered 10 of the 510LR designated for the Protege on the website. Of the 10, 3 of them will not fit. They won't screw down all the way. Is there a fix for this or are these defective?

    Hey Mikalares ....

Atomizers in general have pretty loose tolerances, and can be all over the map. If you find a few that are a bit too tight, slowly work it down. Thread it down and slowly grasp the bottom of the atomizer and continue to rotate. Noalox or another compound may help, but you essentially have to try and break in the threads of the atomizer. So, slowly work it back and forth and give that a shot.

P.S. = My PM Mailbox gets really full, really fast, so bear with me if it takes me a few days to get to your PM :) Don't forget, you can always contact us at info@puresmoker.com :)

That doesn't seem to be working at all. I'm not sure how to describe it, but it's like with these three they feel like they 'hit bottom' before they get screwed all the way on. They make it to the second to last thread and just stop. It's more than just too tight, they just won't go any further and they don't fire.

They do, however, fit my MrPuffer. Not sure what the deal is.

Maybe its just me, and this has only been with 801s, but when I've used Noalox on atomizer threads, within a few days I get a bitter taste. This leads me to suspect that the Noalox is migrating into the atomizer when a little juice leaks out to the connection.

I don't know if there is anything harmful in Noalox, but it concerns me.

Not trying to be argumentative, snide, or rude, but that is horrible advise.

Noalox rule: NEVER use Noalox on atty connector threads.

Why? As per Ideal industries MSDS for Noalox, it is soluble in water and the Zinc dust present in Noalox reacts with water. Also, it states to avoid excessive heat and burning, as it will release oxides of carbon. It also states to avoid conditions of moisture or high humidity.

All that simply put: Noalox on your atty connector threads can (and probably will) mix with nic juice if it were to leak, and there's the possibility of vaping said mixture (however rare it may be). Not trying to scare people (I actually use Noalox on every mod I own), just saying you've got to think ahead when using any chemical.

Ingestion first aid is recommended induction of vomiting and consultation of physician.

Good job Blaze Spot on and true noaloxing your atty connector is dangerous for reasons said above +

It is a conduit conductive of electricity your atomizer connection is a Natural resistor and adding noalox will screw things up causing issues!
