Default RSST - grind down pointed contact end on center post?

    Hey all,

I'm using an RSST on my Provari 2.5 and I am extremely pleased with it. In my never-ending quest to tinker, however, I was wondering if grinding the pointed end of the center post would improve performance in any way? It would essentially allow more surface area for the center pin to contact the load.

I am tempted to order the silver plated replacement made by that "ninja" guy, but the ordering seems to be in the same nature - ninja-like....as I can never find a legit spot to order. This replacment (as well as most other center pins on other attys are already flat)

So, if anyone has experience or feedback on this flat-pin idea, please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Matt!

You can get the silver plated pins on kidney puncher. I have one coming in the mail today.

Thanks for the quick response. I may pick one up and convert the top to Phillips

It doesn't bother me that it's a flat head at all seeing as how you finger tighten it.

Excellent point. See, I am thinking about mods that aren't even necessary - hah.

What difference does the silver plated center pin make?

It increases electrical conductivity.... In other words, giving you a better connection for electricity to flow from the battery to your atomizer.

It certainly wouldn't hurt to flatten the tip of the positive pin. Just don't take off too much material and make sure no sharp edges are left, as that could dig into the positive pin on your mod.
