Rhapsodies Fire is the name of a fictional female character in a series of books that I read a very long time ago. This character was one that I found easy to identify with....a very long time ago. Dig the name, but can't remember the character or the story. Guess I should go read it again.

In high school, my buddies decided my earlobes were akin to the Johnnie Gregory mudflaps commonly equipped on 18 wheeled tractor-trailer rigs and started calling me Mudflap. When I graduated and walked across the stage to receive my diploma, a dozen of them all hollered "Mudflap!" in unison and my grandmother gave them trouble for it. It's one of many fond memories I have of her, so I've been using it as a forum handle since the late 90's.
When I was 7 or 8 my friends started rhyming my name Nina-Neener, Neener Beaner and it stuck. When DH and I started dating he heard my mom use one of the names and loved it. From that day on I became his Beans
