One of the problems I had is that I really dislike the drip tips available for the io6, and I really like the look of my empire drip shield. It was a problem, because I just don't think it looks right.
It is a really gorgeous piece of machinery, though. I took a little extra brain power to work on this one so I could have my cake and eat it to. You see...
That's not a carto, baby! It's an atty. After a short brainstorming and destruction session, I ended up gutting one of my burnt out boge cartos, ripped all the connector crap off it rather brutally with a pair of needle nose pliers, and was left with a shell. A slight, slight curve inward on the tube and it fit snugly over an io6, and the rest from there was easy. No extension adapters, no goofy looking and half-functional drip tips. I'm pleased with the result, and the machine.

Pretty much entirely for cosmetics, yeah. I got a cherry vapes red pawn to set on top of it now. Think I'm going to use it with cartos. That little homebrew atty shell didn't hold up as well as I had hoped. Ah well, experimentation is fun.
Looks good and you did a great job in modding that carto tube to fit the i06. Never seen anyone come out with that mod before and so, I think your the first. I'm sure a lot of i06 users are gonna be interested in this mod. I agree that they could've done a better job with the drip tips for the i06. At least make an XL version or something.

Will most likely get a drip shield and a different tip to make it look a bit nicer. Or something that I could cover the cartos with that might match the silver. Not that I think its looks that bad now, but might be kinda cool to have a fancier look to the top of it.
