Compared to a new atomizer every month or two or more.

I've used exactly one cartomizer on my VV Woodvil and it lasted about 20 hours before I was pretty unsatisfied with the taste. But thats on par with my experience on my regular REOs as well. I was pretty much a carto a day guy until I gave them up.
I use to get about 4 days on my regular woodvil with the same juice and 1.7/2ohm carto's which is why I am wondering if its something I am doing wrong.

I thought it was the sweetener in my juice that was doing it, cut that out and the exact same thing. Very brown carto filler material after a short amount of time.

I've had a box of clear SmokTech dual coil cartos (1.5Ω) sitting on my self for a long time now.

I'm not a fan of dual coil cartos. I think they're unsafe on most devices and don't perform well on unregulated devices with 3.7 volt IMR batteries. I think they need VV to fine tune the two coils to a satisfactory vape.

Well, now that I have a shiny new VV Grand in my grubby little hands, and I know the notcigs chip will effectively and safely power these cartos and good old reliable juice feeding from a Reo will keep them sufficiently wet, I decided to put one in service and see how it goes.

4.5 volts under load is working pretty well. It's not as good as an atomizer, but I'm getting decent flavor and tons of warm vapor. I'll go ahead and run with this carto till I can't stand it and report back.

I'm looking forward to see what you have to report with the dual coils.
I've been tempted to try some dual coils but if the life of them isn't at least a couple days I'm better off staying with my single coils since I have a large stock pile of them.

I just wish I knew if it was something I was doing wrong.

Well, I seem to have the exact same problem Zer0. I've tried the Kanger at 2.5, the Resurrector at 1.7, and Boges at 2 and 3ohms also and still can't get more than a day or so before I want to replace them. Ive also tried different juices and don't seem to be getting as much life as normal. I don't have any advice, but you're not alone. I sure hope we figure this out though. Or better yet, somebody hurry up with our bottom fed rebuildable, lol!!!

Its the juice itself..I used to love tasty vapor juice..waffle and tastyfinger..but within one day the carto would taste stale and yucky. Tastyfinger actually killed 5 901 attys in 5 days. Sadly I had to quit using it. I now diy my juice and my cartos last for weeks! Great performance and taste.

Well the only thing you could be doing different is running them hotter.
If I recall the 4.2v of an IMR on a woodvil used to give me 3.86 under load with a 2 ohm carto.
I think the VV keeps the load up pretty close to what you set it at unloaded.
So if you setting it higher than 3.9 your running them hotter than you did.

That's what I suspected but I hate to give it up as I use to go from juice to juice to juice. But I fear that I might have to just to get rid of this problem. Luckily my local vendor has got a huge selection of DIY so I think its about time that I finally jump into the deep end!

I think you might be on to something, as the VV reo would be giving the carto the same voltage throughout the charge of the battery so it might be an extra cause to my quickly dying cartos.

    Thanks all for the tips/info!

That was my thought there being held at peak performance with no drop in voltage . It is the only thing that makes seance Tim is a vaping ninja
