i got the idea for this from Dave so thanks Dave i call it the doohicky (thanks Clyde for the name) the meter can be found very cheap on ebay or you can pay twice as much on madvapes all you need are the meter and some wire i suggest speaker wire the first pin is the negative and the second is the positive this is a great little tester for checking the voltage on your mod batts oh ya and i use super glue to fix the wire to the pins all you have to do is cut the wire even and then push the pins inside the wire insulation then before pusing al the way add a little drop of glue and push the wires all the way on

    Sweet!

I have a Doohicky Deluxxe 3000™ - mine's been sunk into glow-in-the-dark polymer clay and then crammed into a mini Altoids box thusly:

Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, he'll eat for life.
Give an octopus nunchuks, no one's ever eating fish again.

You know it's the same thing as this without the box and atty connectors (works very well btw!!):

That one is $16.99 plus shipping...also does voltage but not ohms... still a great thing!

Hmm, got an idea. I'm thinking about getting one of these and attaching the leads to the approiate contacts on my old wf-188 charger so that I can pop in a batt, and get a reading then pop it out. I usually charge 12 batts all at once, and it seems this would be an easier and faster way to check them.

I think that would work...I was thinking of doing this with one that was plugged in too but then it would measure the electrical current for the charge and not the battery unless I unplugged the AC cord each time I wanted a reading.
