    Default fitting looks rusty

Hello Reoville. Ive been away for quite a while but still have been using my Grand 99.9% of the time. I was looking at it today and the fitting where the tube runs from the bottle into some sort of metal fitting looks rusty to me. I dont know if i can just pull the tubing off of it to take a look, I'd hate to mess up my baby. This has the older guts with the smaller diameter tubing (Got this in a trade, I think its one of the first runs). Do you think this is a bad thing or can I take it off to clean it up. I'm sure someone out there with more experience could give me some advice. I can try to up a picture if you guys/gals aren't sure what I'm talking about.

    Thanks in advance!

You could order a replacement tube and cap assembly. Then remove the old tube, clean the fitting and replace the tube. The new tube has the same inside dimensions but you will need that new cap because the hole is bigger.

Of course you could always send to Robert for a tune-up! He will clean and replace, and make sure everything else is in good shape!

I think I will do what Karen suggested and send it in. Another Reonaught sent me some extra tubing a while back but its the bigger stuff that I cant quite use at this time. So what do I need to do to send it in to you good sir?

Ok. So I should just pack it up and send it off with my info inside? How about payment? Will that be worked out after It is looked and and figured out what is needed?

I'll admit im a little worried to let my baby go. Any guesstimates on how long it might take to get back?

Thank you again for all your help. It will be nice to have my Grand back in top condition!

You can send it like you're planning or you could just replace the tube and cap like was mentioned. I replaced mine with the larger diameter one and mine was one of the first run Grands. I thought at first I would have to drill the delrin piece bigger but I didn't. I was easy to do myself and only takes a small phillips head screw driver to take that cover off.

Rob has the replacement part on his website as well as prices for repairs...
If you send it you'll want to insure it with delivery confirmation.
