I love the size & feel of my Epower (18650 version), but the epower DC mega cartos are so weak (using a 510-510 adapter to make them fit). Any suggestions? Would the new 5v switch & batts work better maybe?

To me, the E-Power seems like a better deal and the reviews were raving! $5 for replacement battery was a big plus for me, not to mention the fact that I have a least 25 new 510 atties to use up! I found the best deal at sweet-vapes.com for $42.00. The kit includes:
1 black rubberized unit (battery tube, PCB switch, cone)
    2 14650 1050mah protected batteries
    2 2.0ohm black atomizers
1 short 510-510 extender (to raise the atty above the top of the cone, no need for a long drip tip)
5 prefilled mar tobacco 18mg carts (not SV e-liquid)
    1 U.S. E-Power battery charger
1 gift box & instruction manual
1 3ml bottle of SV juice
I don't know why I picked the black one, just liked that it is a rubberized coating. I topped my order off with 2 extra batteries. I can't wait to try this............someone please tell me what a treat I am in for!!!!
Chit..............had it 2 and half days and the switch light went out and the atty just keeps burning! Company has me another switch on the way. The switch I have has a hard button, the company is sending me a new one with a soft or rubber button. Has anyone else had this problem with their e power switch?

most of the switches out there are the soft or rubber button. They seem to work fine.

The hard button is the new switch.

Sorry to here that you had a bad switch on your 14650. I have had mine for about 4 months now and still works like new, I did buy and extra switch just in case, but have not need it yet. Early on the button was sticky like when you pressed it down it would not fully return to its normal position. I just put a small drop on e-juice around the button and pressed it many times then wiped any excess off and its been great ever since. The other battery you have is probably the 18650 and its great too, just larger and lasts longer between charges with the 3000 mAh battery I bought from MadVapes.

wyojoe???? Do you have the soft button or the hard plastic button on your e power? Mine was the hard one, and the one I should be getting tomorrow is a soft button. The switch I have for the 18650 is the soft button. Nothing happened to the hard button on my 14650 (the button still presses just fine) but when I hook up the attie to it, attie just continues to heat. i hope that the soft button is better.

Mine is the soft button on both of mine. I don't know what to think about the hard plastice button. Did you have to send it back. If not you might try to drip some alcohol on the switch and let it wick inside the switch and press the button a bunch of times. From what you described the button is stuck in the on position all the time. If you didn't need to send back, try the alcohol and bang the unit against you hand to see if you can knock it loose. It's broken now so it wont hurt to try. It does sound like it is just a bad switch. Does the light stay on when you screw the battery onto the switch??

No, the light does not come on at all. There was no mention of me sending it back tho. I tried rubbing alcohol and pushing the button over and over again, but did not hit it in my hand............I am gonna try to work on it............lol! Thanks

If you don't have to send it back then you have nothing to lose messing with it. You said when you screw the battery on, the carto is burning so, that does mean it is stuck in the on position, but you would think that the button light would stay on all the time too. With the soft button you can carefully take it out and put it back in. So maybe with the hard button you can take it out also and look inside to see if you can see anything you might be able to fix. Maybe or maybe not.LOL If you do take the button off, screw the battery back on the switch and see if its still always on, if it is still on after the button is removed then you know the button is not the problem.
