510 has better throat hit and vapor as well as easier draw. I can't speak to dependable, I've only had mine about two weeks, but so far it has been great and still have all my parts.

I really prefer the manual switch, don't think I will ever go back to the automatic. They kit is pretty cheap, and honestly cheaper to buy two kits for extra parts than one kit and the parts separate. Each kit comes with two batts and two attys. If you get two kits, you have two chargers. You will go through more batteries. I went through about 2 with my 901 and use about 3 with my 510.

Again, if you really like the 901, you could wait for the manual, I understand they are coming out soon. Of course they will be first-run and may have some initial problems.
What if i were to just go with the SD or prodigy?

In a nut shell, I'd say get it, if you can afford extra 40-50 dollars for a starter kit. Ruyan Direct sells it for 34 dollars + shipping. Widow sells about 50, shipped. Since you already have a 901 set, PCC and USB PT can wait a little bit, till at least you'd like invest in them!

I can't speak to either, I haven't tried them. I have heard really good things about the SD, Prodigy is quite new and haven't heard as much. I suspect it is much like the SD. I hear the SD holds up really well and you can use your 901 parts.

Well, I'm an SD user. SD is exceptionally good. I can't say much about Prodigy, GG, LV nor any other mods (Janty Stick) as I haven't tried it. But if you are going to take a mod road like I did... you'll be trading that sleek cig-looking device for something that looks like a pipe bomb! (except Janty Stick or box=mods, of course). But if you are like me that you don't care what you look like when vaping, by all means, please join the mod guru!

But as far as conventional stock e-cig goes... 510, definitely gets my vote. I do believe there's a reason for 510 now has surpassed 901 in terms of popularity in our forums own device preference poll.
