The 4081 has a great atomizer but uninspired carts. But nobody in supermini land has good carts.

I'd say to go for an M403.

Apart from the fact that I rate the M series (and everyone will give you the 'get this one' based upon their own likes/dislikes, which are obviously subjective), the reason I am saying the M403 is because your friend can 'step-up' to an M402 and M401 if and when they decide they would like a longer battery time, so it gives them more flexibility than the other teeny, weeny models!

As others have said here the 4081 gets bashed, but it's only bashed by a very few. A lot of folks like them, but they're reluctant to post because of the bashers. (I receive dozens of PM's, so it's not a fable. I started with the 4081, 6 months ago and still like it. When I started, I bought 50 - 4081 attys. I put one on my passthrough and one on my e-cig batt, and the two of them are still going. After 6 months, I get great hit, vapor, and flavor, and the best part is, I have 48 attys still in the box.

I also have a 401 and 510, I use occasionally. They can bash it all they want, but I've been vaping happily and steady for the past 6 months.

Just got the 8084 from GoodProphets and couldn't be happier. Yes battery and cart are small but not a problem for me. Also extreme customer service from those guys.
