How long are your attys lasting?
I have been getting a minimum of 2-3 months per atty on a 6volt copper mod.
I usually clean once every 2 weeks (hot water in cup for 1hr then blow out till dry)
I don't know if atty "technology" is getting better or I'm just lucky because in the beginning 10 days would have been good.

I keep the volt 5 or below and have only lost a couple of them.

never less that around 6 weeks to 2 months really the only three i have ever lost are 2 from dropping the atty onto hard laminate flooring just killed them stone dead probably broke the coil.
and 1 i left in a glass of listerine to soak and remembered it a week later and it was just really really weak so i binned it.
the RN4081 is the best atty ive ever used by far i wouldnt use anything else. when i read threads where people are talking about 2 weeks life in an atty before it weakens im like wtf really! some of mine last so long they get given names!
the only cleaning i do is to vape it dry then give it a good 15 second burn in my 5volt passthrough until its glowing like hell! and if anything they seem to stay at their best for longer at higher voltages because they self clean.

I have one that has lasted since January, with daily usage.
I use the standard mini battery, and I always store it with a filled cartridge attached (keeping the atty "wet"). I'm careful not to overheat it too.
Take care of your atty, and they'll take care of you!

you really can't get 4081s too hot, i had one get stuck on for close to ten minutes at six volts before i noticed it glowing red through the cart. I disconnected it, let it cool down a little, put some juice in and it was still perfectly fine. I always get at least one month, i've had one last nearly six months, it's still going, but it doesn't hold juice like it used to. I've never actually had one die outright, but the performance will slowly come down to the point where its just not worth it. 4081s are without a doubt the best attys on the market, if I had to guess a reason why, I'd say its because they're wickless, and don't get gummed up like other attys do.
I reject your reality, and substitute my own

my newest and favorite mod, I call it... the cat box

suddenlyno I'd say you got a bad batch (always praying that that doesn't happen to me) or you got an off brand.
I get most of mine from Heaven's Gifts and they last a long time.
Where did you get yours from?

have you changed ejuice at all? i bought a 10ml bottle of red bull from somewhere a while ago and the damn stuff just wrecked attys that 10ml of juice cost me 3 attys.
some of the sweeter juices can shorten their life i just tend to stick to the tobacco flavours these days.
