Wasting so much juice
I feel like my NPRO is wasting so much of the juice in my carts. These are prefilled carts, and every time I put a new one on shortly after using it a bit if I take it off it looks like the attached picture.
AND, I have to blow out the atty at least once during cart usage, and once after.
I've switched to angling it down while puffing. I don't know what else I might be doing wrong.

There are probably 100 threads on the same subject. What you see is normal. Wipe it off periodically and continue vaping!

From my experience, these issue go along with using the NPRO auto switch PV and prefilled carts. The battery is just not strong enough to consistently vaporize the liquid.
I can only recommend manual switch PV's so you can control the atomizer, how hot it gets and how well it vaporizes (to a point). Same with filling your own carts: much less expensive, tastes better, much more variety and you control how much liquid is in the cart.
There is a reason why so many of us have switched to these PV's:
510 or:
The Big Five in Long Battery Life Manual Switch PV’s:
Screwdriver: ecigscrewdriver.com
The Black Screwdriver Kit / Totally Wicked eLiquid / Electronic Cigarette e-liquid shop
Prodigy: PureSmoker.com - Home of the USA Built PV !!!
GG: THE GG
JantyStick: Janty USA
LV/ZiMoshi: Zi Moshi Home
(plus the batteries on these cost only $2 instead of $14+)

And I seem to be getting between 15-20 puffs per cart, occasionally as little as 10.

wv, I am looking into PVs currently. I haven't decided which one to get, but I know that I don't want to go dropping a grand and buying one of each. So I'm taking the time to try and thoroughly read up on each, and ask all of the questions I can before making a final decision. Also, there is the fact that most of them are sold out at the moment. Doh!
I also placed my first e-liquid order yesterday. So, hopefully that will arrive soon and I can stop buying those expensive prefilled carts!
I guess it just seemed to me like I had to be doing something wrong to see this sort of behavior from the unit, and I was concerned.

You aren't doing anything wrong. It's no coincidence that so many members with the PV you have or similar ones come on here asking how to make the thing work better. And then you get all of the advice (which can be very helpful) on how to hold it, how to nurse it, how to take a drag on it, etc, etc. I just don't buy into that you have to have a mechanical engineering degree (sarcasim intended) to be able to vape. Those who like these type of PV's (and there are fewer all the time) tend to be VERY light vapers/smokers. If you only hit the thing once any hour, then it might work fine for you. But most people don't vape or smoke like that.
Get yourself a good manual PV and significantly reduce your frustration level.
Good Luck

Uptown;
I tend to agree with Breakfastchef. Mine has been doing that since day one, and I never paid attention to it. I just wipe it off occasionally, and keep going.
I have a 510 manual that sometimes does it, but not often.

I need to get a friend into vaping so I can have someone to share and compare with. Lol.

I tend to take one more thing into consideration. We're in basically the same inviroment. Jacksonville - Houston - High humidity.
That moisture on the atty is less when I'm in dryer climates. Down here, when I get in the car and turn on the AC, the car totally fills with fog for a minute or two. When I board a plane in Houston, the fog rolls out of the AC until the cabin door is closed, and the air balances out.
E-cigs are a science. Analogs just burn.

If you use the 4081 with a box mod it will happen much less. You must puff hard enough to start the battery and it is harder then would be necessary with a manual switch. I love my Nicostick with my 4081, I carry it and a 510 version. Because it is sealed I usually just drip into it while I am busy, but a newly filled cart lasts as long as my 510 between fills. Both will hold 5-7 drops at a time.
