Do you have a dead 4081 battery? If so, take the cap from that one and put it on the one that has the cap missing. However, I have had several in the past do the same thing and I just kept using them without the cap

Try Aquavapor....that's where I bought my 4081....they seem to specialize in the model

if I could find the tip, I'd superglue it back on, but we can't even find it we'll have to just find something else to use & toggle something together, I guess. I'm thinking... something sort of contact-lens shaped & sized... but no idea what??? I look around the room and see... nothing helpful

Whatever you use, just be sure to leave vent holes in it or the battery won't work. What about slicing the end off of a cart. Should be the same diameter.
