I can't believe your going to allow this. You are potentially letting scammers and spammers in the door. What's allowed shoes, purses, computers?

There is now a space for members who are graphic artists (and several have asked for this), or payment gateway operators (again, we were asked about this a lot by suppliers and by alternative merchant partners when PayPal started their funny business) to post their offers here.

There is a need for this on both sides. And of course we won't be allowing spam posts with unrelated offers. Mainly this is for services, though we don't want to put a hard and fast rule on it since there are some possible areas where physical goods can be applicable - printed business cards for example.

This is an experimental board, like one or two we've recently opened, and if it doesn't work well it will be closed. There is no point in saying "No" to everything though, if 50 people ask for something it looks as if there's a demand.

And anyone who has been here a while knows we are the toughest ecigarette forum around on spammers. You should see the bitter complaints on other forums where they go. We have a good record on this, when was the last time you saw a spam ad for trainers here? Despite the fact we are under intense pressure due to the high traffic, the Mods do a great job.

The only issue we have is that because of the complexity of some of the systems here, due to the very wide range of facilities we offer members and suppliers, we need a large staff to keep everything everywhere updated. One of the biggest problems is to keep a level playing field for all, because the biggest issue is not spam, but how far memebrs and especially suppliers push the boundaries to see if we notice. Currently due to staff shortages across the board we have slipped behind, but that will soon be fixed. It takes a staff of about 15 or more to run this place efficiently due to the high traffic and the complex systems.

It's really funny to read on other forums about unfair application of penalties and so on here, they haven't got a clue what the pressure is like - just living in a fantasy world, where 200 visits a day is the most they have to deal with.

So as regards blatant spam, we cope with it. As regards member and supplier misdemeanours, they get worse every day and we have a lot of work in this area. Luckily, due to the large numbers of suppliers coming in to the market, there are long waiting lists, which means we'll be able to start moving on the bad news suppliers soon. As soon as we get the staff and deal with current projects, that is.

There is a massive amount of work being done behind the scenes at the moment, which people can't see. You might notice the 20 or more forums we've opened or moved this month, but that's just the tip of the iceberg.

being an ex-member of the behind the scenes stuff i can confirm there is indeed pressure. which is why the report function comes in handy for the members. see something out of place report it. that thing in the offensive or other questionable postings. trust me it helps alot.
