Twittering!
Hello everyone - I have just installed a nice function which enables you to twitter any post you like by clicking on the "thread tools" drop down menu.
To enable this, go to your user CP > edit options and enter your twitter details in the form boxes near the end of the page.
That's it! Just click on the "tweet this" button to tweet the post at any time.
Remember to add me to your twitter, won't you? smokeyjoe_ecf

Tommy, you're probably right! I quite like it though - it can be used in pretty clever ways.

I don't even understand the Twitter thing. I've heard about it, but I've never really looked at it. Just what is it???
-
It's like a text message - 140 characters - that gets instantly broadcast to anyone "following" your twitter.
Twitter: What are you doing?
Yeah, it's a bit silly - but very useful too. I kept members updated on my progress getting ECF back online when we were kicked off our old server!

Sj, Do you think the forum could use Oauth?
It lets twitter users use apps on websites like this one without having to give out their password.

I'm a news junkie and twitter gives me the latest news instantly. The trick is to find the right people to follow.

Hey dc2k08,
The twitter password is encrypted into the database using PHP mcrypt.
I suspect that future updates of the twitter vbulletin module will incorporate something like Oauth, but for now you're perfectly safe using it.
