A place to add model number to profile

I use a forum devoted to cell phones. HowardForums. On that forum they include a place to add what model cell phones a member has and it is displayed with every post.

Is it possible that something like this could be done with this forum? Location is displayed along with every posts so I don't think it is a difficult thing to do and it could potentially save some hassles from happening.

Somewhat impractical here, as most people will have 1 or 2 models of cell phones, but a good number of these folks are using 3+ models of PV's. For some of the members here it would read like an encyclopedia list of ecig models.

There are people on HoFo that have a dozen different cell phones listed. I PROMISE you there are people as enthusiastic about cell phones as there are people that are enthusiastic about E-cigs.

two options exist for what you suggest one is in the sig line the other is support the site and turn the member into what you want it to be

I don't think you guys understand because none of those suggestions seem to address what i am saying.

It is not so that I, alone, can let others know what model I have. I am suggesting it be implemented for everybody the same way the location feature is.

It would help facilitate giving other people good advice and reduce the instances of misunderstandings. Knowing what model of PV an OP is using BEFORE answering that OP's question will allow the answers to be more accurate.


It is a suggestion to benefit EVERYBODY.

I still think it would be a bigger benefit to helping others if their model of e-cig was listed.

It seems to me that it would be more helpful information than their location.

dw thier location helps suppliers and repliers respond to thier resuest for information about shipping and weather or not they can sell to them for example an if i ask a supplier to sell me a juice but if they dont know where i am at they dont know how much to quote for shipping. you idea is nice and i am personall saying it is not worth having but some of us use alot of devices maybe it would be better for your idea to be a part of the profile it self and not the side line with the avatar. or more to the point maybe a device prefrence could be what your really suggestion to be placed on the side

It is not a difficult thing to implement. seeing as how most people are to lazy to bother looking into anything they don't understand I decided I would just go ahead and post a picture that says a thousand words and proves it would be an easy feature to add even for people with every single solitary model of e-cig made...

This guy has over 20 cell phones listed with EVERY post he makes.


I started thinking this would be a good idea when I was warring with another member who was insisting I only had one PV and I was looking at three different models sitting on my desk in front of me.

It would allow others to have a frame of reference to help or assess the validity of help. How can you help a guy without knowing what model PV he/she has? If you are the person asking for help and get two conflicting replies and one is from someone with the same PV as you and the other is is from someone with a completely different PV which advice are you more inclined to take?

I am starting to understand that this forum's intentions are not so much to help and assist people as it is a forum devoted to generating profits.

Location information is really only usefull to retailers for the reasons explained by lordmage. What I am asking for would not generate any money, it would just be usefull to HELP others.
