How do I add Ticker Factory to my posts

Sorry to be a pain, I've seen many members use Ticker Factory, I've been on the TickerFactory.com site so how do I add Ticker to my posts.

Hi Grumpysanta,

I had to play with this for a while to get it to work. I'll give you a hand and see if we can't get it to work for you.

Once you go through your options to make your ticker the last page will show this:

bbCode:
(Message Boards code, FertilityFriend.com's boards, phpBB based boards, Invision Power Board, vBulletin...)

In the box below this is the code for your ticker. Copy only this part of the code:

tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/d/4;10300;6/st/20081019/e/sfgnfnfgfgfg/k/237b/event.png

Now go into your UserCP in the upper right hand corner of any page of the forum. Page down to Edit Signature. Then paste the code in Option 1 and Click Save Signature. Now go back to your post to see if it worked, it should show up on any post you have made.

If that doesn't work delete just the WWW. in Option 1 and paste again. Let me know if that worked for you. Good luck!

I'm not having much luck here. The best I get is Invalid URL. Even tried copying your link, that didn't work either.

Try this. Do everything as above but when you copy that section of the bbCode make sure you copy the [img] and [/img] along with it.


Paste this in the edit signature window instead of option 1. Hit preview signature to see if it worked. If so hit save signature and your set. This should work, I just did it myself.

Well, instead of Invalid URL I now get Invalid File. BTW I'm currently using the URL from your counter as that should work, it's working for you.

I got my work collegue to read what you were telling me. Looks like I was being totally thick, I was still trying the Option 1 rather than placing it in the editor box.

I keep getting this error message, and I don't have anything else in the box except the ticker like yours. What am i missing???

Your signature contains too many lines and must be shortened. You may only have up to 3 line(s). Long text may have been implicitly wrapped, causing it to be counted as multiple lines.
