Anyone new that reads this thread is going to think Parked is shady ---and that is not right. I was at the forefront of this inquiry. I was taken aback by receiving an email that was tagged with Janty on it after I placed an order from Parked. Others noticed some other things that on the surface were admittedly, not transparent.

Questions were asked. Answers were given. Reviews were moved in the best interest of all (including Parked's, IMHO) to Dietsmoke's subforum.

The issue of "unaffiliated fans" placing links in sigs, well, that's a different subject.

As far as the reviews from others who are not currently suppliers but receive products "gratis" in order to review, that has been the standard operating procedure from the beginning. Let it be.

And in the interest of fairness, yes, this info should not be part of this stickied thread and if possible should be moved or whatever.

(Let's note however, for the future, that THIS was where the majority of the discussion on this topic took place BECAUSE this was where the topic was finally addressed: In THIS thread. Unfortunately, when the topic was brought up in OTHER threads, it went unaddressed. Food for thought for all involved.)

Above reproach or not...I want to make sure it always stays that way.

I don't know about Mr. Parker's intentions. I don't know if he was thinking "I'm gonna make myself some business and do Jeff a solid" or not...I just know things should have been handled differently by him in order to avoid all of this.

Full disclosure is always the path to unquestionable integrity.

I'm sorry sun , I don't see any of that here. openess and transparency would a fairer reviewer make.

Apostle--I would agree about that take but for the Thread we are in--Judgment about Parked's verasity have been made without concrete evidence that he acted with Malice---I do not see malice here at all. I see a correction needed about his reviews--not some horrific act on the part of Parkerd-----what next--a call to string him up? This is an outrage IMO.

Well, I wouldn't quite go that far...

To me, doing wrong is taking orders for back ordered stock and not informing the customer or just not shipping product. It could also be not replacing faulty product or hiding costs, etc.

Not adhering to the spirit of some arbitrary forum rule ranks right up there with farting on a bus on the 'wrong' scale. Sorry, it's just really hard to take any of it all that serious.

Allowing a damaging thread to stay stickied, on the other hand, when the supplier has done nothing to adversely affect his customers is pretty far out there.

I don't know that I'd call it a lack of honesty. A lack of forethought? Yep. It did have to take months of preparation before opening the business. Continuing to do reviews without mentioning that those preparations were being made? Not the best judgment, but I'm not reading anything nefarious into it. He's not given me any reason to believe that it was anything less than oversight.

Interestingly, this post was recently made Dietsmokes - why no extra chargers for M401? by a person who I don't know if is familiar with this thread or not. I'm certainly not advocating covering this up!
