There are other banner styles out there that you asked about that display how much you saved and when you will break even. Smokewithoutfire.uk or something

Retired: Dragon, 510, Magnum Mod, KR808D-1. In Use: GreenCig, JuiceBox.

Honestly! But hey it's all about the health benefits for me anyway....
As a newbie, I'm willing to risk being labeled a nerd because memories fade with time.
Anyway, I've been browsing threads for a few days now and I took the numbers from ten signatures of different members from different threads and put them in Excel and came up with these figures. They're not scientific or statistically accurate, of course, but they're interesting (to me, at least):- Average number of cigarettes not smoked per day: 29
- Average "savings" per day: $6.15
- Average annual "savings": $2,250
- Average yearly analog cigarette cost not spent, based on $0.30 per cigarette: $3,180
- Average annual e-cig cost: $935
I had to make assumptions, of course, the most important being the average cost for analogs. I chose $6 / pack as a rough guess on that.
I searched and couldn't find a thread that asks people to break down what they used to spend on analogs and what they now spend on e-cigs. My daily cost for analogs is only $3, so I don't expect to save much switching to e-cigs (assuming I can kick the analogs once I get to vaping.)
As suggested by others, it's a health thing and an aesthetic thing: I expect to breathe more easily, have cleaner-looking teeth, have better cardiovascular performance, sleep better, burn fewer holes in my car seats, have a better smelling car and no cigarette odor on my clothes, and be more productive because of not having to go outside every time I want a nicotine break. The cost is so far down the list that it doesn't seem to matter much at all!

for mine i used the cost back in dec 08 around 5.50 a pack plus tax so 6 bucks works

Does anyone have legit access to the code that does the calculations? I would like to make my own counter with one of my own images.
