A Private message that won't open..weird! - E-Cigarette Forum

I have a private message in reply to an ongoing conversation that won't open. It just sends me to a page that says URL not found and has some ads on it. It trys to load very slowly and times me out.
The other messages opened, the ones following opened..but not that one.
This is just a friendly message from an established member.
The message waiting notice is driving me nuts!
Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Is this just a one-time issue..... or have you tried it again throughout the day ?

Is it possible to "report" the pm so the admin can see it ? (if not, is it possible to forward it to me, and I'll post the issue ??).

Hi Chevy.. I didn't want to report it as it's just a nice message! LOL The link below is what I get. maybe this is the same problem I have been getting off and on when trying to post a message or read in the forums.
And yes, I have tried several times to open it. I have asked the sender to resend to me and will probably just delete the message. It's never happen in P.M.'s before though.
What I was wondering was if this was something that has happened to others! I can try to report or forward if you think I should. I can't forward with out opening or report it..
I am getting this followed by a lot of e-cig links

I've had PMs that I've opened/read that kept coming back as unread. Usually what ensued was an ECF server crash. When the server came back the PM was marked read.

If your able to "report" it, you have an opportunity to enter some text for it where you could just explain you can't open it...... however, after saying that.... I don't think you CAN report it when you can't open it, as that feature is "within" the pm view.

Ask your sender to re-send and delete the previous AFTER success with the re-send.

If its still an issue following that, I'll attempt to get the TechTeam involved, but they may not be able to do anything because of the privacy issue associated with PM's ..... we'll just have to play it out.

And YES, their are all kinds of intermittant issues at the moment as many many changes are being put in place with ECF. Unfortunately, these annoyances are unavoidable, but on the good side......... at least ECF is not having to be taken down for maintainance repeatedly to install/activate/correct them all !!

Just a thought here, make sure that yo keep the browser cache clear, this will happen at times. Not saying this is what your particular issue is, but man times this is the reason for what you are describing.

Thanks everyone! This wasn't important this time, just an annoyance, but I do get a lot of messages from new people and wouldn't want them to think I was ignoring them.
I will update if and when it works! Oh and I empty my cache all the time..it's a holdover from when I had my old and full computer.
