if you are the OP of any thread and would like it locked or removed in some cases. click the report button and fill in the reason. in your case it would be "OP request to..." you get the point and who ever can handle it they will do so as soon as they can.

There are lots of forums out there. One of my favorites is Slickdeals.net
I saw on there a type of post that could prove very valuable here. It is a wiki post. Here is an example.
LINK
This is thread on building your own PC. It has each individual part / price / link to retailer in one post and it is a wiki post. This allows forum users to add to or modify a post collaboratively. I am not sure but I would think that there would be a higher post count barrier that would prevent users from being able to edit it until they have sufficient credibility(50 posts?).
The reason this would be good is I am having trouble finding things here that I am sure exist and the search function only helps so much.
I think wiki type threads would be useful for the following:
1. Equipment / Supplies Purchasing - Atomizers, Batteries, E-Juice...
2. DIY Supplies Purchasing - supplies that were not intended for e-cigs but have been suggested as useful in DIY applications.
3. Guides - Specific (multiple) wikis for each category ie cleaning your atomizer, mixing liquid, ...
Going to one place to find the most up to date information is very valuable.
Please consider this.

Hi SJ, there is a lot of people, me included, that would love to see a "KR808D-1" forum in the "Model Specific Discussion" sub-forum. Thanks for the time.

Just so you know, we are going to be installing a user edited content management system soon.
The details will become clearer later, but we'd definitely appreciate your input on what you think needs to be included.
Thanks,
SJ

I try not to suggest things that are counter productive. I am also very honest. You will probably not want to implement this because it will reduce your clicks per page / per visitor. But do not be fooled by that thinking. What will happen instead is you will be able to condense ECF member knowledge and ECF navigation by implementing what I have suggested here once before and am suggesting again. This may actually increase user counts due to ease of use on the web site. It also may contribute to user input on topics. More people more info.
You need to provide second post WIKI option for people creating a new thread. I will post an example below on another forum. What this does is it allows any user (configurable by admin to post count minimum) to edit the second post of a thread. This is generally used as a compilation of info.
For example if you guys had a thread on atomizer parts the first post would be a description of what the thread is about, the second post would be a compilation of links and information regarding where to buy and what kind of wire to buy so forth and so on. These types of threads are priceless to users and to people browsing the forums. Compiling a list of known information in one easy to get to spot is needed.
Thanks for consideration on this and here is that link that shows an example.

I just noticed a thread, or several threads regarding DIY juice recipies. Having one thread and a wiki eliminates this.

Anyone reading this? I am surprised there have been no comments.... bad idea what? Did I not explain it good enough or provide good example of what I am talking about in another forum?
Whats up, anyone?

Sorry I totally missed that post...
Can you give more details I am dieing to create some wiki's to consolidate information. There is a lot of "known good" info in here but finding it all is not an easy task.
