    Default Too much throat hit!

Hey everybody, I just received my new X2, clearos, and some bottles of desert joe and classic grape in 12 and 18 mg. I am finding that they seem to have too much throat hit to the point where I will hit a coughing fit from the ticklr. Occasionally I am also getting occasional headaches. I didn't have problems with the pre filled cartos, but I am thinking that this is maybe because of the cleaner, bigger hits I am getting with the clearos.

Anyone else ever have this problem and solve it?

Interesting question, I too am curious how going to a clearo will affect the hits. Someone will be along shortly to offer the insight I cannot.

the x2 has a longer cutoff letting you take bigger longer drags... all symptoms point to too much nicotine. (I would buy some 6mg ....or buy some 0 and mix it with your 12/18 if you don't want to waste your 12/18)

That is sort of what I expected. I just wanted some confirmation before I bought more gear. Thanks imagine!

I can attest to the headaches. On my first day with the X2, I vaped myself silly with that crazy cutoff and had to take a nap! I think it hits a little stronger too. Maybe try the clearo on a regular batt, just to see if it still happens?

I'm not sure how bigger batteries actually work in doing it (after all, they're all regulating 3.7 volts of power, right?), but my experience in going from the Volt 78mm batteries, to the Volt X2's, and now on the bigger mods, is a progressively stronger throat hit and more vapor production up the ladder. Can anyone explain the "physics" behind this, or is it all in my mind?

I went up to the larger mods looking for increased battery life between charging and better options to carry more juice on board between fill ups. But I also experienced more throat hit and vapor production. Experiencing 5 volts is approaching the physical experience of analogs. (I'm not complaining.)

I think it might just be the longer cutoff of the x2. The 5V mod will actually produce more power with the same carto because of it the power equation, P=V^2/R. Presumably that will produce hotter more volumous vapor.

I actually find I am looking for less throat hit, I smoked ultra lights... Sooooo

Then yeah, maybe step down your nic...
I smoked lights, started with 12, now I'm down to coughing at anything higher than 8-9 (I like 6).

Yeah, I just ordered some 6. We will see how it goes. It's not bad as long as I limit how much I vape... But I am enjoying the x2 a lot and thus vaping more. :-)

Yeah, that X2 is pretty crazy! I almost vaped myself into a coma on my first day with it. But with 6, you can chain vape all you want with no ill effects. And if you find yourself needing a little more nic, you can always mix in a little of your higher nic stuff. Good luck!
