Snus is great stuff. You should give Gotebourg's Rap é (original and No2) a try, it was my favorite for a long time - it has juniper berry in it and tastes delicious. Another snus you may like is the Catch-dry brand; I'll admit that I wasn't too crazy about it, but the flavors were great. Once Nick and Johnny East and West came out, that's all I ever did (something like a year ago-ish) happy snusing. |

A couple weeks ago. My friend (who is trying to give up analogs ) was givin a throw away e-cig by his adult Son. He was having problems with it after a few days,so I built a 3 x AA Nicostick and dropped it off at his house. While we were talking he said...here try this it's called "Snuss" I said oh yeah , I've been reading about this stuff and wanted to try it. So I popped it in my mouth , and at first it was really good! (some mint taste) but after a few minutes it started to taste like a bag full of salt...It was disgusting! and I spit it into the trash without him seeing. I can't imagine that it all tastes like this , does it? P.S. I really don't care for salt very much and only put salt on Baked potatoes , and popcorn when cooking. So Maybe it's just me. |

Snus is basically water, tobacco, and SALT... with propylene glycol added to keep it moist... Yes, propylene glycol. Salt is a major ingredient in all snus, although it is less noticeable in some brands. |

The General Mini Mints don't taste salty to me, nor do the Discreet Snus. So no, not all snus taste like a bag of salt. Just takes a little experimenting to find what you like.

Greetings. Another female here checking in... I have used snus off and on for about one month, and like every snus flavor that I've tried, which is limited to mini and regular white portions (general regular, general mini-mint, catch dry minis in eucalyptus and licorice, roda lacket, grov white, and general wintergreen). The roda lacket, grov white and general mini-mints are probably my favorites, although when I use the minis, I tuck away two at a time. Snus gives me a typical buccal (i.e. thru the oral mucosa) type of nicotine buzz, same as I used to get on nicotine gum. I do enjoy the snus; I especially had a great time snussing my way thru the 2.5 hour viewing of "Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen". Those little discard pockets on the top of the tins sure come in handy! I must admit, though, I enjoy vaping and (nasal) snuffing more than snussing. My mouth gets a little sore after leaving a snus in for a while, and although I don't feel like I need to spit (good thing too, I'm not a very graceful spitter), things do get a bit too juicy for my liking, even with white portion snus. Even though it's inconsistent, I *really* dig the nicotine hit that comes from snuffing. I am always grateful to have another non-tobacco-burning tool in my nicotine kit, but I don't think that I'll be snussing on a daily basis. My DH totally digs the snus I've brought home, but he has many, many years of skoal-dipping experience under his belt.

We're all coming out of the woodwork now...glad I started this thread! If you're using 2 minis at a time though, you really should get regular portions if you're using just portions. I've found with those you can actually put them quite a ways further back in your mouth so you don't look like you have an abcess right under your nose :-p There's so many out there to try that there will be ones that are perfect for you. It took me a while to find what I like the most, but it's worth it. The mini mints are good for newbies, but the others I especially like are: Discreet Strawberry and Cool Mint flavors General Mini Mint General Wintergreen White portions And so far the favorite loose snus, believe it or not, is the Offroad Cranberry. |

My two favorites are mostly-unflavored, regular sized: Roda Lacket white and Grov white. I do have some loose, but haven't gathered up the balls to give it a try yet. Although I do have a spoonful of General Loose steeping in a DIY PG infusion to try vaping it. I haven't filtered it yet to give it a go. Love the snake in your avatar, BTW. Is she yours? I've always wanted a pet snake, but my DH vetoed that one flat out.
