LD Black is said by many on the Snuson forums to be the BEST of all possible licorice snus, even though it is a 'discount' brand. I would use it except that for the most part, I stick with minis, at least until I have learned to WERK loose.

You don't have to defend it. It's all taste and preference. Hell, you might hate the licorice snus with coffee. If you do, that's ok too.

My order showed up, popped in a Eucalyptus because I was intrigued. About 10 minutes into it, decent buzz and nice mild flavor.

Think I'll break into the licorice next since I have had the mint and know what to expect.

Just got my 2nd order from getsnus. I ordered the 5 can mini sampler deal. Going to try the licorice tomorrow with my morning coffee. Will report back tomorrow .

I tried it today and it was pretty nice, thanks for the tip.
LD black is an excellent licorice flavour (of the semi-savory European type, not the USA Twizzler type).

Yeah, I know but it would be a shame for someone to dismiss it out of hand, besides it's worth getting just for the can - one of the best!

With snus it's so difficult to tell if you'll like it or not - even ones that are supposedly similar can taste very different to some people.

On the bright side, out of about 20 different kinds that I've tried I only dislike two, maybe three and at a few dollars a can, it's not big deal anyway. Into the freezer those ones go. As was the case with analogs, in the case of an emergency, forget the taste/brand - anything is better than nothing so they'll all get used up eventually I suppose.

And we've likely all tried a snus that we thought awful, only to put it away and return to it in a week or two. Hmmm. It wasn't so bad. Keep using it. Hmmm. Pretty good, in fact. I initially did not like General Wintergreen. Spit it out within five minutes. A week later, I loved the stuff.

I keep forgetting to mention one of my favorites -- Ettan. Pure tobacco. No crap flavors added. Made since 1822. 1822!!!! Talk about a history ...

    Another good one: Grov.

And Lucky Strike is in each of my orders.

Exactly. When I tried Odens Kanel loose, I actually thought it went bad. Some time later I loved the stuff.

I still haven't dared put another portion of Goat Rape in my mouth yet And funny you mention the Ettan, I was thinking of adding some of that to my next order since it has very high ratings from customers at both getsnus and northerner.

I got a can of General wintergreen (free sample) after reading everyones reviews. Wasn't too impressed with the first try. Had a couple of pouches today and it is growing on me.
I've found this to be the case for almost all the snus i've tried so far. With the exception of Offroad Coffee, that stuff still tastes like burnt damp leaves.

I got a can of the Ettans Classic portion as my "mystery can" with my latest Getsnus order. Looking forward to trying that one out but going to save it till i can relax and enjoy it.

I was just discussing how this type of product would never have been introduced in the US, since everything is loaded down with sugar in this country. I think part of what makes the Swedish licorice snu so delightful, is the fact there are no sugar or artificial sweeteners, to mask the flavor of the licorice.

I should have mentioned I am already heavily biased against Camel snus, and also somewhat biased against regular portions in general. Any who read my opinions on Camel snus should consider that.

I haven't run into any that I didn't like as of yet, but again, there are certain brands I have avoided due to reviews on the Snuson forums, as I mentioned earlier.

Oh wait, I am not sure whether I like Thunder ES or not. I am sensitive to higher nic levels, so never would have ordered Thunder ES. It was included as a free can on my last order. I almost saw GOD it was so strong. It's FAR too strong for me and I can't think of a reason to use it again. I can't really comment on the flavor, because I was too busy dealing with the extreme effects of it, to pay much attention to the flavor.

You know, I absolutely LOVE goat rape, but I always was a fan of gin martinis years ago when I drank. The juniper flavor in gin and goat rape seems to have no middle ground with people. They either love it or hate it.
