Praise the almighty cheesecloth! ;-)
Thinking that there must be a better way to keep los in place, I thought of things that could be made into a sort of pouch-like object that would be quick, easy, and inexpensive so that the los snus would stay as flavorful as it is yet eliminate "mud mouth".
So, last night while at the local Walmart, I bought a package of 100% cotton cheesecloth for $1.50. The measurements on it are 1 yard by 3 yards, so it's a pretty big piece. I cut a small square, placed the pris in the middle, folded all edges to the center over the pris, put it in my favorite spot (side of my mouth), and getting my snus goodness without a mess. Easier to get out of the mouth without leaving any around your teeth too. It also feels alot better than the paper coverings on the portions.
Me's a happy camper with this discovery

Yep los removal is definitely a down point of los.

I've been using lipton tea bags which has been working well for me. I never thought of cheese cloth. I did try cotton swaps (I work in a clinic), but I found them a bit rough on the gums. Perhaps cheese cloth is a bit more gentle.

This sounds like a terrific idea! Sheila, you have inspired me to try and use los more = )
I bought empty teabags that can be cut and ironed closed from my local health food store. I haven't gotten around to experimenting with them yet.
But seriously, you need to get an icetool. Everyone into los has gotta have one just for the novelty, coolness factor and they work fantastic at compressing los

There's a big difference between the Icetool and the Prismaster. My prismaster would be collecting rust if it weren't made from plastic!
