I was thinking I liked the Camel Snus but then read this article:

There's a lot of snus snobbery going around, Coderguy. If you like a product, use it and enjoy it. The anti-Camel bias among hardcore Swedish snus users is unbelievable. I've used both Camel flavors (there were three flavors test-marketed and I liked "Spice" best) and like them, but not enough to make them daily favorites. Also liked SkoalDry Cinnamon, but they stopped making it. My credo: If you like it, don't apologize for using it.

Thanks TB, I saw you mention this topic in another thread from last year, so this is what you were talking about, OK, good to know. I look to you for all things snus and if you say it's just Camel-bashing I accept that.

The same thing for me when I started with the Swedish snus. Very salty. You get used to it and the salty taste falls into the background over time. I hardly notice it now.

I have been snusing since yesterday and find it totally satisfying. Ironically I haven't even picked up my 801 all day (just haven't had the need). I get my 510 tomorrow and really want to vape with it so I may cut down the snus so I have the desire (or I will get 0 nic ECOPure just for the vapor).

Thanks again Tropical Bob for introducing me to this! Now it will be even easier to get my nic fix at work, on travel, out with friends.

I also thought the salt was too much when I started but I am used to it now also. I've been using snus for about 5 months now. One reason I like los snus so much is the salt content isn't as high in that as it is in portions. You may want to try out some of this as an option also.

Does most snus taste of salt?

I ordered some Nasal Snuff hope it dont taste salty.

Nasal snuff isn't salty at all. And you do get used to the salt in Swedish snus, to the point that it just drops into the background. I, too, found the Oomph (Wise) Citrus/Menthol to be good enough to use any time. When I want tobacco taste, I use Ettan. General Mini Mint is good and Onyx packs a needed nicotine punch.

Put those aside that you don't like now, and try them again in a week. You might find some taste better to you. It's a good list of orders.

Well I just dashed into Seattle and picked up some General White Portion and General Wintergreen White Portion and have to say what a difference in taste from the Camel snus. Not necessarily better or worse, just different.

I like them both. I actually gravitate toward salty things to the General White Portion is good to me. I like the nic hit more than the Camel snus too.

It was more expensive than buying it online (which I will do from now on) but I wanted some now.

Ironically I am finding that I like snusing more than vaping. I can do it anywhere, I seem to get more nic from it, and no recharges or refils of carts. Plus the added benefit of years of research and regulation. I can see occasionally vaping for the extra nic and motions, but I think snusing is my future.
