LOL,I hate snakes, and I do see a few king snakes in my veg garden that make me run for cover, but I know they are good guys and keep rattle snakes away so just try to leave them alone. Sheila, Hi bluebyrd here! I have been kinda following you,and have been doing snus for about a month now,but favor the sweet camel frost snus. My first order was some strong offroadcoffee/vanilla,extra sterk general andpower energy elyxer, they are to strong for me so I sit here and stare at them, thinking I will use them in an emergency! Are you also still doing snuss along with the snuff? Do you like doing snuff? I think I am going to order crumbs of comfort,it sounds yummy! Also what do you reccomend for sweet snus, besides the camel frost which I am doing right now in combo with my janty stick.Thanx in advance for any answers from everybody!

Hiya bluebyrd! King snakes are cannibals so yeah, they'll take care of those rattlers for you

If you like the Camel Frost, you would probably like the General Mini Mint snus. Personally, I like the Offroad Coffee Vanilla, but it's no longer being made so once that runs out, it's gone. Goes great with Starbucks, hehe

There's also a new one called Discreet Snus. Right now it's a little hard to find, but give it a week or so and I have a feeling you'll be able to find it at getsnus.com. His flavors are awesome, especially the strawberry ones. They're also a mini portion, but do have a little more nicotine in them than the mini mints. They come in Strawberry, Peach, Cool Mint, Emerald Ice (most like the Camel Frost), and Full Flavor. They're even pasturized like the Swedish snus are and I'm really hoping his snus takes off.

Yes, still using the snuff and snus and e-cigs. I'm finding that when I use a little snuff, I'm using less of the e-cig. Just depends on what I'm in the mood for I guess! Once I saw from TropicalBob that it was ok to use more than one thing, I started getting my stockpile ready for when that PACT Act gets passed, grrrrr

The Discreet isn't at getsnus.com yet, but it will be in a week or so. I sent you a PM about it. :-) They're actually sized like a mini portion but contain a little more nicotine than a normal mini portion. So they're not going to make a big bulge in your lip or anything, which is always a good thing for us women! I have an Emerald Ice in right now in fact :-p

You must've gotten the She Cherry Menthol? That one is good...the menthol is pretty light so it doesn't overpower it. If your raspberry one was Toque or Ozona, they're both good. The Crumbs of Comfort is awesome, but be careful that first sniff...it is pretty minty! Whiskey and Honey has no menthol in it and is ok. I got that as my sample at Nicotinerush.com. Not a fave at first, but I'm starting to like it. I haven't tried any cloves ones, but I know others like that one.

Anything made by Toque seems to be very "noob-friendly", as well as Dholakia Swiss Chocolate. That one is very sweet, very chocolatey, and very good. It was on TropicalBob's list of ones he thought I should try, and I'm glad I did! Can't use it all day, but it's a nice dessert snuff to chase away the cig craving with.

Since not all of them come in a nice neat bullet out there, I did pick up one very useful tool for the snuff. If you have a store called Kitchen Collection, they should have a very small measuring spoon set labeled with "dash", "pinch" and "smidgen". I believe they are actually 1/8, 1/16, and 1/32 tsp respectively. I use the smidgen one with any snuff straight out of the can and maybe half fill it for one use. I'm sure other kitchen specialty stores will have them..they run around $2 for the set of 3.

And to think I swore I'd never even try snuff But it's a really good way to get that little extra nic fix if you need it on top of the snus and e-cigs.

Sometimes Toques can hit you pretty hard, especially from a bullet. Toque snuffs are finely ground, and always come super-fresh, so the ammonia can come thru strong. Anything that is referred to as a toast or scotch are by nature very fine and dry and take a bit of practice to snuff without coughing or sneezing...but are sooooo worth the effort. All of the Indian-style Dholakias (but not the Swiss Chocolate, very popular) are also fine and dry. I just started working on some Dholakia Kamal and Ganga, and although they might not be the greatest for first-timers, they are exquisite. I still haven't gotten the hang of bullets, I am a pincher, 100%.

Coarser grinds are the easiest to snuff without shooting your head off. I would recommend Molen's dutch snuffs, which are all very coarse (especially the Choco-L...luscious!), and Fribourg & Treyer with their very old floral blend recipes and fantastic tins (don't ever throw those away).

Bullets can be "fun" sometimes to use, but I've found if they clog a little, I just give it a good whack upside down and that usually fixes it :-p But for the convenience they give me, I'm sold on them being an important item! :-)

You're definitely right about the scotches and toasts...have to sniff them VERY GENTLY or you'll get a nice throat full. After the first try, I learned!

Maybe it's the varieties of Toque that I bought that seemed very easy to use...raspberry, espresso, chocolate, and vanilla. Those are all very mild and easy on the nose to me. :-)

Just to echo this, Dholakia Ganga is divine.
It's like having a bunch of flowers in your nose for hours (hmm, that probably doesn't sound too appealing) - but trust me it is.

Funny, isn't it? The first time I saw TropicalBob mention snuff, I thought he was a nut-ball, but now I am a bona-fide Madame SnuffHead.

Snuff, to me, is without question the best sensory experience of all the nicotine inputs I have ever tried (cigarettes, cigars, vaping, snus, and dissolvables). Plus you get some good Vitamin N as well. The whole long history of snuff is sort of romantic, plus snuff is cheap, easy, low-maintenance, convenient, and portable. I still vape too, just because I'm very fond of my PV (Prodigy) and the clouds of tasty vapor it puts out. Also, the nicotine "feels" different to me between snuffing and vaping; the two go very well together for me.

You haven't had snuff until you've tried Smith & Sons' Cafe Royale. A friend of mine took a trip to London not too long ago. I had him stop in and pick me up one of each of their offerings. Attar of Roses is also quite pleasant. I have so much nasal snuff that it will probably last me the rest of my life. I really got into it a couple years back. I have some stuff that makes your whole body tingle. It's known to a select few snuffers on the web as Spanish Jewel. Very fine. Very dry. Very potent. I have seriously never had anything like it. I have some vacuume sealed and stored in the closet so I can enjoy it years from now.

Ozona Cherry remains my staple. I have some in the 10g box which is only available in Poland. Everywhere else it's only available in the 5g tins. The stuff from Poland seems to have a better nic hit to it and a nicer cherry aroma.

I have to say that I am none too fond of Wilson's snuff. I've tried many, and none of them stuck. It's interesting to see a number of people here into snuff.

I've been putting together what I call equivilances -- how much of each thing I do contributes to the 20-25mg of nicotine I need every day.

For nasal snuff, I found a (general) fact: 1g of snuff equals the nicotine absorbed from smoking 1 pack of Marlboros. A Toque bullet is 1g. So, a pack-day-smoker would need to do a bullet a day. I don't use that much, but I also do snus and e-cigs. The 1g bullet is good for 60 sniffs.

This was another general fact: 1 portion of snus equals 1mg of nicotine absorbed. I'd need to do a tin a day to come close to my cig habit figures. I don't use that much.

And nasal absorption is second only to inhaling smoke into the lungs for rapidity of nicotine transit to the blood stream and brain. Nasal snuff is THE stuff if a "quick hit" is needed.

I'm using it more and more. At least every hour. Often every half-hour.
