Ooh hooh hooh, I have heard about the "genuine" Spanish Jewel, and someday I might work up the nerve to ask one of my snuffhouse buddies to part with a smidgen so that I can try it. I've also heard about Cafe Royale...I'll have to move that up to the top of my list.

Wilson's is good: I enjoy several of their SP's, particularly the Strasbourg. The Royal George is the one Wilson I've tried that really stands out. You either love it or hate it, and I love it, just not as an all-day snuff. WoS IHT #22 is my favorite Toast. I have enjoyed the Fribourg & Treyers, but don't think I'll buy any more than I already have, except for their Toast.

Toque and Dholakia are two of my favorite brands, and are easily obtainable from US merchants.

Attar of Roses is also quite pleasant. I have so much nasal snuff that it will probably last me the rest of my life. I really got into it a couple years back. I have some stuff that makes your whole body tingle. It's known to a select few snuffers on the web as Spanish Jewel. Very fine. Very dry. Very potent. I have seriously never had anything like it. I have some vacuume sealed and stored in the closet so I can enjoy it years from now.

Ozona Cherry remains my staple. I have some in the 10g box which is only available in Poland. Everywhere else it's only available in the 5g tins. The stuff from Poland seems to have a better nic hit to it and a nicer cherry aroma.

I have to say that I am none too fond of Wilson's snuff. I've tried many, and none of them stuck. It's interesting to see a number of people here into snuff.

Kitabz: I just wrote that down on my "still to try" list...flowers are pretty cool so I just might like it too :-)

Enfield: I just thought it would mean constant nose-blowing to use snuff, and the only person that I personally know who uses it is someone I don't care for, so I wasn't interested at first. Then Bob's posts kinda warmed me up to the idea and I sent for those first 4 Toque tins...followed by matching bullets Now that I've tried it, I can't imagine not having some of it around! It is definitely a very cheap form of nicotine! To think I spent those 30 years smoking and not really "enjoying" like I have been with these other forms of nicotine. Makes me feel bummed now! :-p

Satyr: I've put those on my list to check out too. I feel a trip to nicotinerush coming up soon!

Bob: Wow, I guess you are starting to like snuff! I remember one post where you said "I'm trying to like snuff". Sounds like that boundry has been crossed now :-) And there are still a couple in a post of yours that I still have to try too.

Um, whoa....I think there was a bit of Swiss Chocolate on my snuff spoon and I just did some McChrystal's Raspberry...talk about a good mix! Might have to just get another tin of each to mix together on purpose, hehe

I have to read the history of snuff, since its been around so long. The only person that I knew that did snuff was my dear Grandma, long gone. When I was little she was quite old, immigrated from portugal to the U.S. when she was a young woman. She always had a snuff can in her apron pocket, and she would take a pinch between her fingers and sniff it up each nostril. She was doing snuff up into her 90's!

That's exactly where I got mine. We did a group purchase a while back. I haven't posted on that forum in a while. (I strayed and went back to cigs ). I'm not even sure if SJ is still able to be gotten other than from a forum member who may happen to still have some. I'll have to pop in for a visit one day and say hi to everyone.

    (Pauses to look in closet)

Ya know what? I sealed the bulk of my SJ (about 10g) in a single bag and set aside smaller portions sealed in smaller bags. I used my food sealer and was able to make some pretty small packets. It just so happens I have one of these small packets left. PM me your address and I'll mail it to you. You should get a few good pinches out of it. Generosity is the way of the snuffer .

Edit: Oh yeah, I have only found one place online that ships Smith & Sons'. They have Cafe Royale and Golden Cardinal. Both are awesome! http://www.the-tobacconist.co.uk/default.asp

Which won't ship to the US? Nicotinerush is in the states so they'll ship here (unless your state prohibits it). If Wilson's has changed their policy of not sending samples to the US, that's the first I've heard of it. Bummer if they won't since their small sample of Crumbs of Comfort convinced me to buy a 25gram tin of that stuff not too long ago!

Some British shops won't ship to the US. I've ordered from Toque and snuffstore.co.uk without any problems (my first order from snuffstore is on the way now). I can't speak personally for any of the other British shops shipping to the US.

The no-shipping reference was to Tobacconist. The home page says up front that shipments to the U.S. will not be made.

Wow, that sucks. I'm glad I ordered when I did. I'm not sure when they started that. It was a while ago when I ordered from them.
