? on "best by" date on snus
I have some good Swedish snus that I bought a lot of awhile back. It's past it's best by date now (6/24) because I got caught up with all my pv's. I've heard that you can take a few drips of distilled water in the can, shake it very well and the snus is good as new. Anyone know? Is it at least not bad, right? It's been either refrigerated or frozen the whole time.

If it was in the fridge it should be okay. You didn't say if it was loose or portions, but if it looks a bit dry a little of distilled water should do the trick.
I believe the way to do it is spay a bit in the can, shake it up and put in the fridge for a few days. Should be good as nearly new. Snus really doesn't spoil to easily. It will dry out and loose some flavor. The PH may also drop some which would decrease the nicotine absorption a bit.

I tried adding the distilled water to some Oden's classic that seemed kinda dry and it seemed like it worked. I've got a whole freezer shelf of snus
. I need to try to get rid of some of it, because a lot, if not all is past it's date and I'll never use it all in a year.
