Default My oreder from Getsnus came in!

Wow, I feel like a kid in a candy store. All these flavors and I don't know where to start. Keep in mind I've only used Camel snus in the past. Now I have:

    General portions
    General Ekstra Sterk
    Odin's Extra Stark
    Claq Qui Sterk portion
    Ettan original
    Discreet Mint

with Thunder Frosted on backorder which I assume will ship when it comes in.

I just started a General portion. So this is what snus tastes like. Tobacco, salt, earthy. Mild, yet present nic hit. No burn or tingle at all. Hell, even my Camel Frost gives a tingle. (I'm a nic fiend, hence all the eksra strong stuff) Oh I vape at 48mg too.

Quick question off the bat. What's this second lid for? It sits on top and almost resembles a large coin. What in the world is it for? Some have it, some don't.

I'm an amateur chef/foodie/wine guy, so I'll be describing what I taste and smell. Maybe helpful to the new user or to compare palates with others. Just remember, I have almost no experience with snus.

I'll reedit as I go through the different types.

    Thanks for listening.

That second lid covers a small separate compartment. It's so you have some place to put a used portion if a trash can isn't available.
    (-; Poof :D

Thanks olerthandirt. May I borrow a form of your sig?

General portion was earthy, slightly salty, fairly astringent (tannic), very mild flavor. I'd like more flavor. And there was a hint of soapiness in there. Not overpowering, but I def. taste it. Overall, not bad. Just a bit weak on the flavor.

Discreet Mint was well, minty. Small portions. Not so sweet as I'm used to. Good, but it goes bad fast. 20 mins. in and I want to take it out. Gets nasty. Not sure I'd buy this one again either.

I know some flavors become more appealing over time, but I just want to list some initial impressions. Kinda like a blog. Now to give my mouth a break and contemplate my next one. Claq Qui looks intriguing, white tin and what appear to be blood spatters on it.

    Stay tuned for more updates...

All of the above confirms my suspicions, which have led me to refuse to purchase Discreet. Aside from the too high nic content and allegedly 'sweet' flavoring, I simply can not trust US made snus.
