No need, hitt. I plan on using a chain maille pattern (or just "maille" for you language hounds who know maille is the French word for "chain", making "chain maille" redundant...). Having a keen eye for fashion, I'm thinking the regular weave is too male of a maille, so I say we go with a larger weave "femaille" design. Being health-conscious, I'd like to fc with lots of space between the links to promote good airflow.

[QUOTE=firechick;3053842][Woohoo...works for me, I'll be right over to get those measurements. May I suggest a nice pullover copper mesh? It makes for a nice, airy look during those upcoming Summer months ......(bad Victor, down boy).........

Good evening. Great to see all the friendly faces. TV, we're gonna need a tutorial video on how to make that.

Wiz I haven't tried the medical yet but find myself going back to the hedges regularly. My snuff usage has decreased quite a bit this week. Not sure why, I just haven't been having the urge much.

Or rather, I could be laying in wait (raising and lowering eyebrows menacingly). I might be just around the corner or in that dark alley up ahead. Only the Shadow knows.......

I don't know about that tutorial video, hitt. I'm just not sure how I'd broach the topic without fc doing a trial fit of a copper chain maille teddy so far up my rear as to develop a very bad sinus infection .

Morning all, TV, after you get that femaille maille pullover finished for FC, perhaps you could create a nice copper maille maille belt for me. I don't know if it would help, but I could sure couple use a super size today. Actually, yesterday was worse but I came home and napped for a couple hours yesterday afternoon and felt a little better and this morning, if I don't move much, I almost feel normal (well, normal for me anyway).

The volunteer thrift business has been real busy lately with spring cleaning and all. To give some estimate of scale, the books are sold for $.35 softback and $.90 hardback, records $50 and tapes $1. Yearly sales are over $100k and I'd guess that at least 60-70% of product gets thrown out eventually. They load up plastic bins which you never know how heavy they are until you lift them to open and sort. The worst is records packed full, they must be 60-70 pound loads. Seven hours of hauling them around sorting and shelving and my hip replacement candidate was fully advertising its weakness.

I don't suppose even the belt is going to help that little issue out. I just haven't had time to pay homage to the chiro lately.

Had the weirdest thing happen at mom's. She had an overhead light in the room we converted from a dining room to her bedroom that hadn't worked in years. I figured the light switch went bad so I, like an idiot, replaced the light fixture first then worked on the switch itself. No juice to the switch. Now I've worked with electric before, but it's always been in newer homes that were not almost as old as me. I quickly established that the only electric feed for that side of the house went into the room next to the one I was working in so I figured they led the wire from the wall outlet in the other room to the wall outlet in her new bedroom. Glad I called a friend who's worked construction because I would have wasted a lot of time.

Apparently, in the old days, they used to feed the hot wire to the ceiling, then to the switch and back again. I didn't have the tools to work on it further so I had to wait until Tuesday to go back and try to find the problem. Down came the new fixture and I started pulling out wire and taking off electrical tape that was older than I was. I got to the wire and sure enough the hot wire was there but there was no reason that the juice wouldn't have been getting back to the switch.

Now I'm wondering if a mouse got to the wire somehow behind the lath and plaster and dreading the possibility. I started stripping the electrical tape in the switch box to see if perhaps something was wrong with the tail that was added there. Again, the wiring looked good and I was back to a broken wire thought. I turned the electric back on and now I have juice. I tested the original dimmer switch that I thought was the problem and that was indeed shot, but I don't have any explanation why there was no juice originally.

I inspected what I could see of the wire and all looked good so I re-taped everything and replaced the dimmer with a regular wall switch and put it back together and rechecked the juice at the light still all good. I put the fixture back up and all is running right now but I don't like that I don't know what I did to get it running again. Anyone have any ideas?

Well off to mom's and then to the rehab center to listen to her tell me that she wants to go HOME. Tomorrow she sees the doctor and I'm going to have to grill him on why she needs to stay there (other than dad had great insurance) rather than returning home. She called me at 4:15AM yesterday to let me know she's not happy and I'm starting to question whether the benefit outweighs the negative to her mental state.

Good morning. TV, I have a few pullers in my tool box but don't think I have one that will fit your application.

Gutter, sorry about the storms. Hopefully you'll be back up and running soon.

Roth I wish I could help but don't have much experience with that old wiring. My brother in law lives in an old house and I helped him tear out the slat wall and plaster in his bathroom when he refinished it. I remember seeing some cloth covered wire and there was this insulated stud screwed into the wall with a wire attached. I don't know if they used to use those for junctions or what. My first thought with your problem that perhaps it was just a bad/ corroded connection. I just don't have a really good suggestion.

Work is sucking as usual. My lower back on the left side along with my leg and foot have been sore all week. I'm gonna have to give that copper a try.

I'm looking forward to that teddy, TV. This week has been rough on the old bones.

Gutter, hope the damage to your property is minimal. We flooded out, and I lost a lot of the contents of 3 sheds out back. The barn stayed dry though, so the animals are happy. I thought of you this morning......I made a cup of instant Folgers and it had a nice creamy top on it. I thought you would be impressed by the look of it, and yet repulsed by it's instant nature at the same time.

Wiz, I have to admit I do love the Medic. Decent kick and good sinus relief.

Roth, if it carrries current, I find it the hard way. Electricity and I are aquainted and can't stand the sight of each other. I have an electrician from the firehouse. I don't know if he would go to PA, but I can ask.

Heading out to job #3 in a few (where I am attempting to convert a smoking co-worker to snus) with:

Good luck with the conversion firechick. Let me know how that maille works out. I might need some myself.

Good evening. The kids didn't have homework tonight so I got a break from doing algebra with the oldest. Not much going on so I'm taking it easy tonight.
