Morning all! I wonder who's watching football. I'll be a big cheese head fan today, they better not fail me.

I've been running Malwarebytes as a free software for some time and recently bought the pro version, which runs real time. It catches a lot of problems and can be used to get out of some ugly virus situations. I also have two or three other free virus/adware/malware/uglyware software products I found on cnet that I'll run through on occasion.

Recently I had something show up in facebook that I hadn't posted. It showed up right after I jumped into some link from someone else's page so I assumed there might have been a nasty in there so I deleted the generated message on my FB and thought everything was okay. However, I was having lots of page loading problems and my PC was running like a dog.

I loaded up a couple of the cleanup programs I had and one that I really liked is Advanced System Care 5. I ran it and it found a lot of problems. When I want to fix them it wanted me to buy a subscription. I think the software has a 2 or 3 run limit. I didn't bother deleting it and reloading to see if I could get another free 3 runs since there was a special on it at thye time for $13 for a 3 PC license. I bought that and ran the fix. Now I'm running like new. There just not a one stop shopping answer for the malicious software out there.

Wa3zrm, welcome to the other side of the tracks, a new visitor to the dark side. Whereabouts in PA? I'm about halfway between Philly and Allentown, in the deep forest (well sticks anyway)

FC, we should hook up gramps and my mom. They sound like they have the same mindset. She's a 1919er.

Gutter, perform your magic, although that wood looks rough.

I'l be watching The Packer's today. As usual. My son is bringing my Grandaughter up for a visit for the game. I can't wait. She is 4 month's old now, so one of these day's she might start wanting to play a little bit with Grandpa instead of just laying there sleeping...

FC, I'll try to document the process. I usually forget about the camera once I get too into a project like that. My last project was reknotting an old shave brush. It started out with either a synthetic, or a horse hair knot that kept shedding and breaking. So I took out the old knot and put in a much better badger hair knot.

    It works great now.

Is anyone else having problems using the forum on their phone? It's been kinda weird on mine for about a week.

I gave up trying to get in last night on my netbook. This is the first I've been in since my morning posts.

About every third or fourth time I try to get on with my phone it won't load the forum and when it does, about half the time it won't take my posts.

Good morning. I'm still having trouble on and off getting on with my phone with the tapatalk app. I had a heck of a weekend. My phone acting goofy, the printer died, the icemaker on the new fridge quit but luckily it just had some ice jammed, and now the dryer is making a noise every once in a while like the belt is slipping. I had my last fridge for about 17 years with no problems until the last year and had the washer and dryer for over 15. My fridge is about two months old and the washer and dryer are about five years. I've already had to replace a broken latch on the dryer door. Things just aren't made with the same quality any more. Sounding like an old timer with

    skrymr -
you're making straight razors? that sounds like a great hobby.are the tools expensive?

The last few days have been crazy around here. The parentals came over and worked on the new shop yesterday and i've been working my butt of on the new amp to try and get as much done as possible before the parts for paying jobs come in.It's coming together (or apart ) nicely and i think i have a clear path to get it done.
The wife is doing inventory at work today and has been doing prep for a week now so she will be working untill the wee hours of the morning tonight.I've been running errands and hit the lumber yard for some nice wood for the new baffle and right now i'm eating lunch and thinking about how nice a nap would be...
