Frankie, good read. You're getting it. If you try snus, you'll likely find you keep a portion in your mouth for a period from a half-hour to two hours. The stronger the snus, the longer you'll keep it in place. If you use CatchDry or even Camel, like Biscuitslayer, you'll most likely change portions at least once an hour. Why? That way you'll To keep your blood nicotine level at a level high enough to prevent most cravings.

Biscuitslayer: Camel hits our shops in a week. Thanks for the offer, though. I'll be buying some to join the many tins that just arrived from my Northerner order.

P.S. Yes, I like Offroad Coffee/Vanilla. Have not tried apple. Generally, Offroad is ... weird tasting. Not too yummy. Especially compared to Camel or CatchDry.

Thanks TB. I am looking for the more tasty snus, so if you have any good suggestions for me, I would appreciate it. I might start buying in bulk from one of the sites mentioned earlier in the thread. The snus is working so well for me. Using my e-cig is becoming a thing of the past, and a poutch or two of snus per day is enough to keep me satisfied and happy. I am really glad that I stumbled apon this thread.

I also gave up on the e-cig in favor of snus. I got sick of buying new 10-15 dollar parts every month, only to have them break again. That's not to say I won't buy another e-cig if the design is improved, but until then Snus doesn't let me down. Anyone tried the catch vanilla mint? I've got some in my next shipment.

Last night, I had several beers which is my weak spot when it comes to smoking analogs. I haven't had a real cigarette for 20 days and I didn't have any at my house when I was drinking.

To make a long story short, I drank several beers (5 I think) and then I had that old feeling of wanting a real one. I picked up my e-cig and started puffing away but it just wasn't cutting it for me. Then I popped in a pouch of the mellow snus and whamo! I had no more desire for a real cig or the e-cig for that matter. It absolutely killed the craving for me.

TB, your suggestion for using snus during certain times of the day (when your cravings are the worst) is spot on. I try to limit myself to two pouches per day, and it seems to be working great for me.

All I need now is a list of the tasty snus that you guys use and I will be in business. I figure if I buy a couple of rolls of the stuff, I should be good to go for several months. Worse case scenario is I buy the individual cans at my local gas station. The Camel snus tastes great IMO.

Jarvis, I'm working on the CatchDry Vanilla/Mint right now. It's good, but I like the CatchDry Peppermint better.

I, too, have trouble finding Swedish snus that are sweet enough for my American tastes. Most taste nasty to me.

I'm eagerly awaiting Camel sales in my area, starting Feb. 23. I've liked all three Camel flavors. Note that SkoalDry has a cinnamon flavor snus that I enjoyed when it was test marketed. It's a pouch product, but not yet sold in my area.

I rely on snus more for nicotine than I do the e-cigs. The e-cigs are fantastic for the habit part of smoking; they don't cut it for me from a nicotine addiction standpoint.

Congrats to both of you for finding a much less harmful way of remaining smoke free.

It might be 3 soon Or maybe I should do this , who knows. Fact is that e-cigs cause certain general discomfort for me and snuss seems not to. I will wait a few weeks before selling my e-cig stuff, though.

THANK YOU TROPICAL BOB. It was you I learned about this from. My friend the doctor recommended trying e-cigs which lead to 3 months off smoking, but your recommendations seem to be much better for longer term use, at least for me. I will yet have to learn to like snuff (the effects are fine, just the route of administration feels a bit weird to me), but I fell in love with snus instantly.

Have you tried the energy option, anybody? I found this one to be perfect for work: Actually better than coffee or redbull itself, because it gets into the system much slower so it less of shock initially and keeps me going for longer time.

The energy snus is quite popular. I tried it when it first came out and didn't take to it immediately. As I kept using it, it became more acceptable to me. While I had the tin, I popped an energy snus in my mouth as soon as I woke up! Energy Snus has some real fans among snusers.

I also like the part about "teeth whitening". There is no reason in the world that a snus cannot be tasty yet help clean teeth. By moving the pouch around, a user actually scrapes off a light layer of tartar. Add the whitener and you've got a great product.

This one is also plenty powerful from a nicotine standpoint.

I just found the taste ... lacking. In my own review, I compared the honey flavor to the old Bit-O-Honey chewy candies, calling this one Bit-O-Nasty. But I might give it another chance.

It should be powerful from the other ingredients rather than nicotine I believe. It has 6 mg nicotine per pouch. The weakest I have is 3 mg - advertised for ladies, unfortunately I like it - and the mini pouches are 4 mg and normal portion is 8 mg, so this one is just somewehere in the middle. I thought you used something like the extra strong 16 mg...

The taste reminds me of medicinal chewing gum I was given from time to time as a kid. I donīt remember what it was supposed to be good for, but tasted similarly.

Frankie, 6mg is high to me. And there is something about the way Wise (company just changed its name to Ommmph or something like that) absorbs that is faster and heavier than others. I've been sick twice from overdosing -- both times with Wise 6mg Wine and Chef snus. Powerful stuff. I've tried much stronger, but it tastes awful, so I don't keep it up.

Energy Snus does taste like medicine. I agree.

P.S. I like all those "ladies' snus, too. Bahama Velvet, Romeo y Julieta Senorita, etc.

Well, I was badly wrong then. I will have to be very careful when trying the "normal size" 8 mg pouches later on. It also explains why I am completely happy with my wimpy 3 mg mini pouches, because those are Wise/Ooomph, too. The Vikings must have somehow different metabolism or what.

It also has some implications for e-cig use. I seem to have both heart palpitations and digestive problems with 8 mg e-liquid (1ml per day) even after 3 months of daily use when I should be well acclimated, and the 6mg energy snus (several a day) just leaves me feeling great, in spite of including three other stimulants, albeit in small doses. Maybe the cig provides too much too fast. Maybe it is just too tasty for me to put it down soon enough.
