| Hi GTORichie, welcome to the forum I'm a snubie, checking them out after being intrigued by TropicalBob's posts about them. Haven't used enough to post my findings yet, but I avoided the Gotenborg White Rape. Another of our snusers, Jamie, said a can of swedish ass would be better (ya hadda be there - check it out further up this thread). Still struggling with the metaphor... Emp

LOL thats and interesting comparison, the first snus I tried was the Rape due to the fact a swedish freind put me onto it (its the most popular in his home town) but each to his own I guess. I have tryed all the types of snus on buysnus (even the loose) and they are the ones that seem to get the best response from people when they try them closly folowed by the Lucky Strike. I do tend to avoid the fruit flavored ones myself as I find them sickly and the eucaliptus flavor burnt a freinds gum badly and it caused his lip to swell (alergic to the chemical used mabe?). I would recomend to anyone who puts in there first order in to get a few difrent cans so they can play around and decide what kind they find sutable but beware anything thats classed as Extra Strong Snus as it can be VERY high in nicotine and make you ill if your not used to it

I've been snusing for about 60 days now and have tryed 3 flavors (loose snus). I started with Offroad long cut wintergreen because I had used Skoal long cut wintergreen before. I liked it better than the Skoal because it's not as sweet. Then I tried General snus and really liked it! Now I am on a tin of Probe Whiskey and this stuff is the bees knees!. In fact I like it so much that I can't stop sticking my tongue up under my lip to get a bit to chew on! If I had more than 1 tin I'd probably start eating it with a spoon LOL!! Hopefully the next brand in my tryout box tastes nasty so I can put a pinch under my lip and leave it alone!

Hi Gary! I'm the same way with the Mocca Pomegranate pouches, the just taste so good after a few minutes! Speaking of which I've been without my snus for a few weeks waiting for my order from Northerner...ordered about 3 weeks ago, emailed them about the order and they said customs can cause delays for up to 2 weeks or more for shipments to the States, so I will give them that. Although expecting the order to arrive in about 5-6 days as stated (4 days for the first order, I was very impressed), I'm a little disappointed...I'll give it another week, and I've got my first e-cig from puresmoker coming in today so that more than makes up for the waiting for now ![]()

I just got a new shipment in, and I must say the Bahama velvet (subtle berry flavor) is my new favorite, with lucky strike a close second, catch dry licorice bringing up the rear.

Bahama Velvet and Cuba Gold are great snus. My shipment got here last Saturday, with new tins of Mocca Pomegranate, Lucky Strike dry minis, Offroad Coffee/Vanilla and Wise Citrus/Menthol. Today I'll get my shipment of 100 packets of Stonewall Java! I'm out at the moment and rely on them after meals.

If you don't believe Big Tobacco believes snus are the future, check out this bit of financial news: "... Altria Group said Monday it would buy the maker of Skoal and Copenhagen for about $10.3 billion. "Altria’s acquisition of UST will give it a strong position in smokeless tobacco, a segment of the U.S. market that is growing as cigarettes decline. Altria owns the Marlboro brand and the nation’s biggest cigarette maker, Philip Morris USA. "American smokers are buying fewer cigarettes as smoking bans and health concerns dampen demand by 3 percent to 4 percent a year. That has forced tobacco companies to look for sales growth from alternatives such as cigars, chewing tobacco and potentially snus, teabag-like pouches that are popular in parts of Europe. ..." And you better believe that Big Tobacco is trying its best to buy the Swedish snus makers, with their century-old snus-making tradition and knowledge. E-smoking? Not even on Big Tobacco's radar because it's not seen as attractive to many cigarette smokers (a Wall Street analyst told them e-cigs might get 1% of smokers to change).

Who wants big tobacco's lobby screaming at congress about e-smoking. Let's hope they have better things to do.
