Women and Sinus
Men have an advantage over women in the use of sinus. I can't imagine a woman using this. Don't you place it under you upper or lower lip. Isn't it a bag of snuff. My grandmother and grandfather used regular snuff. They were born around 1898 and there were a lot of people that used snuff. I remembered it took my breath everytime they used it. They both would have it dripping from their mouth. If one of us got wasp stung or any other bug bite they immediately put wet snuff on it. Back in their day this seemed to be a remedy for a lot of things.
I have heard snuff and tobacco used in the mouth causes oral cancer but my grandparents lived to be in their 90's.

Hi Martha
I s'pose you meant snus?
The snus we're speaking of here for the most part is Swedish snus. It can be used either in a loose form or in pouches. The pouches are called a portion.
As for women using snus, more than a few lady snusers have no fear! Snus portions come in a variety of sizes and flavoring. The smallest size, called a mini, is about the size of a dime in length, very flat.
Swedish snus produces little to no "drip", the extra saliva that users of chew and dip experience and subsequently spit.
FWIW:
Difference between dip, chew, snuff and snus
chewing tobacco, tobacco furnished as long strands which is placed between the cheek and gum or teeth.
snuff, a dry form of snuff which is inhaled or "snuffed" through the nose.
snus, a moist and Swedish form of snuff which is placed under the lip (usually the upper) and typically does not result in the need for spitting.
dipping tobacco (also known as dip, spit tobacco or confusingly even moist snuff), a moist and American form of Swedish snuff which is placed between the lower lip and the gums and often causes excess saliva while dipping.

My daughter in law chews lol. And now most of the males have a picture of some large mannish women in their heads.
My DIL is small and very very pretty. She turns heads everywhere we go.
We are going to order us a tin of snus and try it as she thinks that will work for her much better than chewing.

This is not your grandmothers snuff. About the only thing in common is that snus is an oral tobacco. After that they part ways, with all the advantages going to snus.
There is no spitting with Swedish snus, and the pouches, especially the minis, are very discreet. There is no connection with any oral cancer with snus, and this after over 200 years of use and extensive studies. Snus is the poster boy (or girl) for tobacco reduced harm.
Women do very well with snus, and in fact there are a number of snuses designed specifically for women. This is an old thread I'll bring up you'll want to read about female snus users
Trying very first snus now (and yes, I'm a female)
It's a bit old and there are some new products out there since this thread but it will give you a good idea of whats going on with women and snus.

I am also female and the only snus I have tried is the Camel one, I did not like it. The menthol minty one doesnt taste too bad but the bag is too big, the regular was awful, I did not like the tobacco taste at all.
But I do like the snuff!

Men have an advantage? Well, that would depend, you see. I happen to be pretty short for a guy and with that I guess comes a smaller mouth, so regular portions DO show on me, but minis I can have in all day and nobody notices. Actually, I have a feeling most people wouldn't notice a regular either, but the fact that I know it shows makes it uncomfortable for me to use at work.
As for the taste, there are so many different variants with such diverse tastes that you're bound to fine one you like. That said, it's also an acquired taste, just like cigarettes and coffee. Remember when you were a kid and you thought that cigarettes stink and coffee is nasty, bitter stuff? Then you tried it and got used to it.
But hey, if the e-cig, or snuff or whatnot works better for you than snus, good for you. To each his own.
